Laptop as a monitor?

Alright, I'm sure most of you are familiar with the VGA port that most laptops have so that one can use an external monitor. Recently, I bought a 360 and I've been using my desktop monitor to play it. Fine. Awesome. the only problem is switching the VGA cables gets tiring, fast. What I want to know is if I can take the output from my video card, and connect it to the VGA port on my laptop, and use it as a monitor.

I realize this question is almost inherently retarded, as output to output makes no sense, but I'm hoping for the slightest chance. I have a Latitude X1 by the way.

As this probably will not work, do you guys know of any really cheap vga switchers I can buy?

Yeah, this is probably impossible - you're definitely not going to be connecting the Xbox to your VGA output on your laptop and getting anywhere. It's just not designed that way.
