    Dear everyone

Why isn't Karl Kerschl drawing more stuff?

Because we haven't done enough to deserve him.

His Flash is a wonderful thing to behold, though.

A bunch of folks have apparently jumped a bandwagon with backwards writing in their names, sigs and whatnots.

It's really freaky. And now, they've taken Tube.

Every reference I see to Hank Pym suggests that he's kind of lame. Is he kind of lame?
    beating women is very lame

    Didn't he do it once?

I mean, we hate Pym for one thing he did one time with one writer, but we don't have every other super-hero for equally messed up stuff that they did repeatedly?
Beating your wife isn't really something that can be forgotten when you're supposed to be amongst the most mighty and righteous of defenders.
Rogers said racist/sexist stuff constantly until he was frozen.
And then he was unfrozen, and realized "Shit, times changed. I should be more tolerant."
Stark, Reed and others have caused countless deaths.
Never on purpose. Reed and Tony have never gone OUT OF THEIR WAY to hurt people because they made them look bad.
Wolverine...god, he's murdered thousands at least. The list just goes on and on.
Enemy of the State: Not his fault, he wasn't under his own control.
The rest: He never kills anyone who's not evil.
Spouse abuse is beyond f'ed up, no doubt, but why is it that people latch onto it so much more than the murder, etc. that everyone else did/does?
Because the "murder"(which implies cruel intent) wasn't done because "Goddamnit Janet, you made me look like an idiot. You made me do this."

Remember when it turned out that Tony had always been an agent of Kang the Conqueror after he killed that new Yellowjacket, and then he had to be replaced by a teenage version of himself? Then Heroes Reborn happened and, when he came back, I think he was the appropriate age and nobody mentioned what happened again.

Does Marvel still consider this canon?

all this hype about sinestro corps is getting me excited. what is a good picking up place for this storyline? I don't really read DC. All I've read in the past year is 52 and countdown, with bits of firestorm mixed in.

Man, I wish I had the paper for a few more titles. Thunderbolts looks so awesome and terrifying at the same time.
Does Steel Spider die? Man, I hope not. If he lives, he could totally build himself a cyborg arm...

Does American Eagle survive? I love the redesign of his costume.

I know it's going to be forever until I'm anywhere near a comic shop, and by then Thunderbolts singles might not even be in stock anymore, but I really want to put off reading these spoilers.

I mean, maybe enough scans will be posted elsewhere to sort of emulate reading the story in earnest.

I like how these conversations so often proceed as if they were real-life people rather than characters written by somebody.

The problem is that Marvel took heroes, which some have grown up with and loved, and turned them into characters who are in a grey area, and depending on which side you look, could be pretty much evil.

While many of their actions have a very debatable side of them almost being villanous, we still have those fond memories of the days they were shining heroes, and also Marvel´s tight editorial control over the writers is gone, so two different comic readers could have a totally different version of the same character.

Anyone reading Civil War and Fantastic four would feel that iron Man is selling his soul to avoid a world where heroes are hunted down, while Reed is a chap who entered in it for the wrong reasons, but both are noble, making sacrifices for the greater good. But read Civil War Spiderman and Wolverine, you´d see Iron Man and Reed being total dicks.

I was amazed at the difference of Iron man in WWH, in which he made a speech which left me thinking "hypocrite" and glad he got beaten up, yet in his tie-in, we see a man who has made mistakes decide to confront his demons to avoid others getting hurt, even thugh theyre almost rebelling to fight alongside him, and I feel sad that he has to get beaten up.

I´m still hoping that Iron man is a Skrull or something... D:

    Dear Not Whippy:

Is Cooke off The Spirit, or was #7 just a filler issue?

    ...because it sucked. A lot.

I believe Cooke stated he needed a bit of time to catch up, so they decided to do the filler issue. And you're a jerk for not liking Kyle Baker's Frank Miller parody. And Jordi Bernet's story wasn't half bad either.
    Dear everyone

Why isn't Karl Kerschl drawing more stuff?

Because he's a bit slow. But it was announced months ago that he was working on a Teen Titans: Year One mini-series, so it should be showing up in the next few months.

Agreed. Howizzle, I feel this is one of the best things about Marvel right now.
It's a great way to reconcile internal monologue with external perception. You want the internal view on your favorite character, you read his book. It's not guaranteed that all characters and writers will see that character's history in the same way. If people I disliked disliked themselves as much as I do, my interactions would be much simpler.

Actually, now that I think about it, my question is really quite urgent. If the Cube is the base of another Kree empire, will it be a sanctuary for Kree refugees? Will he uphold treaties with the other races (especially the Skrull)? What about Ronan?

So, I have a big problem with reading the core DC stuff (not Elseworlds/Non-Canon things) because I absolutely love the DCAU, and can't help but judge the characters depictions in that against how I read them in comics.

I've caught up on buying the series I've been wanting, and have been looking to start getting some new trades. So I figured, Flash is awesome. He's always been one of my favorite comic characters. I should probably read some Flash stuff.

Now, is the Flash stuff collected in trades any good? Also, is he anywhere near the personality of Wally from the DCAU? Or is he all like "Grr I am a Superhero and that is Serious Buisness I am dark and gritty".

    tl;dr

Flash is cool. Tell me what to read about Flash.
