So I dont know what everyone knows about this game, but I'm getting pretty psyched for it. Sadly its still half a year away. Reviews say its a cross between Gears of War, incredible game, and Resident Evil, also an incredible (series) of games.

Apparently it has some puzzle solving elements ala Resident Evil/Zelda, I know of one example where the IGN guys had to find some broken gas pipe to ignite the glaive (apparently the weapon of focus), to burn down some slimey shit that was keeping a door locked.

The demo video I downloaded on Live a few weeks back kinda reminded me of Blood Rayne with the camera but IGN says its actually more of an over the shoulder view like RE4. And it comes complete with the "shakey camera" run from Gears of War, which I love cause it makes me feel I'm replaying Band of Brothers or Saving Private Ryan, cept the Locust are more merciful than the nazis (thats pretty sad too).

But yeah, so as I said, my original thoughs on the game were that its going to be alot like blood rayne in style, which would really suck. So has anyone seen/read anything else about this other than what IGN is saying? I'd be interested in SS's and such.

I was interested in this game when I first heard about it, over a year ago.

I have heard nothing new since.

I liked this game when I first heard about it- THREE years ago when it was all about some future stealth ninjas with pistols in the dark. It was the first Next Gen game shown and these slackers just keep reinventing the concept and starting from scratch with the build/engine. While it's not as bad as Prey/DNF at this point, its starting to seem like one of those games where they should just go with whatever they've got and put it out.

This 2nd person bio-organic glaive mechanic seems pretty cool, I just don't think the story or rest of the gameplay is compelling at all. I'm pretty sure they'll start again once they see how well Darkness pulls it off.

I am far less interested in the current 'Krull' version.

I thought the rhino ninja was cool.
