There's a place in Ashland, Oregon called Munchies that makes a French Dip with ranch dressing and cheese.

It is the messiest, most unhealthy, most delicious thing ever.

    You don't have an Arby's?

I mean, yeah, it's not gonna be a particularly great French Dip, but it'd be better than nothing.

Go to a hotel restaurant. You can always get french dips at hotels.

I just ate a plain old BLT. As goods as all of the fancy sandwiches out there are, and many of them are very good, you can't beat the combination of bacon, tomato and lettuce.

    Quiznos is pretty great.

I support gentrification because it meant a Quiznos opened up a couple of blocks from me.

Quiznos's honey bacon club is pretty goddamn awesome.

Also there's some amazing sandwich/deli place in Pioneer sq. I went to the place NEXT to it with a coworker/friend today. THe line at the other place was well out the door and wrapped around. I want to try it now.

If you're in Seattle and have a Whole Foods around, they have this sandwich that is my favorite thing in the whole world. It's called the Pike Place, and it's peppered turkey, jack cheese, sun-dried tomato aioli, bacon, avacado, spinach, and whatever other greens you want on your choice of bread. I reccommend sourdough. Yes.

Shouldn't a sandwich called the Pike Place have fish on it?

Toasted baguette, parmesean cheese spread, london broil, horseradish, sun-dried tomatoes

Gotta have a good baguette, though, and a tall glass of water, since it tends to be a bit dry.

I can only imagine that the deliciousness of the described sandwich is in conflict with my general avoidance of that kind of grocery store. I may have to ask someone I know to get one for me.

I have in my possession a schema for the rolling of sandwiches nerd-style

does this interest the thread or should I restrict myself to insisting that toasted sandwiches are superior to all others?

The best kind of sandwich is one which takes any other meal (cooked breakfast, roast dinner, lasagna, etc.) in its entirity, places it between two pieces of bread, and declares itself a new dish of kings.

Also chip sandwiches. Chip used in the British sense, with the chips hot enough to melt the butter. The combination of soggy, buttery bread and crispy chips is just glorious.
