I'd say anywhere from $1,500 - 1,800. Would be hard pressed to get more than that, only because if a person actually NEEDS (or wants) that rig, they'd usually build it themselves.

      It's a geek thing.

But that machine is sweet, and should fetch some cash.

Rule of thumb when you sell electronics used is you charge a third of what you paid for it.

Is it used? What software does it come with?

Yeah, used is an important question. If it's brand new, my price may still stand... but used... probably drop it about $500 bucks.

It will come with Windows Vista (uninstalled) and Windows XP 64 edition (installed). The Vista was 32 bit, blah.

Also, I'd give them whatever software I have which is random graphics stuff (Adobe Photoshop CS2, I'd have to check the disk and I don't feel like looking now.) The new MS Office.

It was used for about a month, but I believe I am moving back to France, though if I don't sell it I might try to take it with me. That'll be fun.

It also comes with 7.1 Cambridge THX speakers.

But at what point can a machine be considered used though?

He built that rig, and had to use it to install and test the OS [and the hardware] for stability.

It's been so long since I've posted here, I've removed my signature since most of what I had here were broken links. Shows over, you can carry on to the next post.

I would say with the software, you could easily get $1500-2000 for it with those specs and including the full versions of the software most people get trial versions of with computers.
What version of Vista is it? Full or Upgrade?

You may be able to get more selling bits separately.
Monitor and speakers, for example, could fetch some cash.

Just don't piece out the computer unless you're willing to go back to France with a case and a sound card. Not that they are bad, but pieced out is a lot harder to sell everything and you could get stuck with some strange leftover components.

Haha yeah all is legal and accounted for. I had the x64 from my last rig, but I ended up selling that to a buddy and he wasn't savvy on computers and didn't want to deal with 64 bit stuff (software, drivers, etc.). The Vista is full.
