hey Nozz, got anymore Curselax like the one you're giving Linux?
edit: Oh and this just in, I got my Gengar's and Porygon-Z's last moves, Destiny Bond and Tri-Attack respectfully. It took a long time against the E4 but was shortened considerably thanks to the Lucky Egg that slurpee gave me.
Infernape is L61, everything else is mid-40s -- very underleveled, but as I throw myself against the wall that is the E4, they're gaining incredible amounts of XP.
I was thinking of getting my Staraptor up to the mid 50s so I might have an easier way of stomping the first guy, or maybe finally getting around to getting Lucario / Roserade.
So I'm planning on making an OU team. I have Garchomp/Gyarados/Electivire/Heracross/Rhyperior. I'm really stuck on the last the pokemon. Blissey would go great, but I'm not using a fucking Blissey.
I was thinking Snorlax, but he would be the only guy who can't make Skarmory bleed.

Man, you MIGHT want to consider some special attack in that group... Because I'm telling you right now, I would wall the SHIT out of that team.

Maybe I didn't come off sounding constructive, but I'm only trying to help. By ignoring special attacks you make their physical walls practically invincible. I've run every pokemon on that team, and every single one of them is walled by something. Not having any special attacks is not viable for a competitive OU team... Post that team on smogon.com's Rate My Team board and you'll hear the same thing.

Here's a specific example, the guy has a hippopotas and a torterra. You'll have, what, 2 ice attacks tops. Probably one, on your Electivire. You aren't going to send out electivire against a ground pokemon. What are you going to do against it?

If I had perfect IVs, my Shuckle would have 244 HP, 527 DEF, and 582 Sp. DEF.
The best Shuckle in my batch will have 227 HP, 512 DEF, and 576 Sp. DEF.
I'm putting it this way because saying that I got a 13, 15, and 30 in the respective stats sounds a lot less impressive. Are these points high enough, or should I rebreed for a few more of those 18 HP points and 16 DEF points?
Also serebii's max point totals are apparently off by a few points. According to my math, that Shuckle should be at 576 Sp. DEF after earning 32 EVs, but Serebii says it should be at 580.
Throw some attacks at that shuckle in a damage calculator, then boost his defence to what it "could" be. I bet you'd be surprised how quickly those stats make a large difference in how much damage you take.
I was doing some explosion calcs, and having a blissey with max IV's in defense is paramount. Without those IV's, he would take hundreds more damage from a strong explosion. An extreme example, but it can really make a difference.

I would switch Gyarados or Heracross in on Hippo to absorb an Earthquake. Both can easily 2hko it. The only thing the Hippo can safely switch in on is Electivire's Tpunch.
A hippowdon would safely switch into anything on your team and eat those attacks like they were candy. I don't see how you can argue that having pure attack and no special attack is a good idea.
Nothing on your team would 2 hit a hippowdon... that is pure bullshit.

How did I miss that Dragonite can learn Flamethrower before?
Huh.
Mine currently knows Dragon Pulse, Surf, Ice Beam, and Thunderbolt. Should I dump any of these for flamethrower?
Surf maybe? I can't think of too many situations that it would come in handy. Few types are going to try to beat your dragonite that are weak to water.

Edit: Well since I got this gem on the new page let me go ahead and ask this: is there somewhere the time for the biweekly tourny is listed? Last I heard was "Friday the 12th" which I'm not sure happens until October?
I personally lump Rotom in with Metagross. Neither are actually legendary, but you have to jump through some hoops to get 'em and there's only one per game unless you breed.

It's a good idea because people tend to slap on a "physical wall" like Skarmory and think they have physical defense covered. Once the wall is downed, then the team usually has a giant gaping hole in their team.
Legendary means NOTHING in terms of stats. Uber != Legendary.
Cresselia = legendary, but not uber. Same with heatran, rotom, etc. And rotom is most certainly "legendary".
So what makes Rotom legendary?
I don't rightly know... but this argument has been done 1000 times, I'll see if I can find some evidence to this effect. But rest assured, he is definitely considered legendary. I am 1000% sure.
I guess it has something to do with how he's encountered. But the fact that he can breed is what makes it a topic of contention.

Also trying using damage calculators.
I'd like to see you deal with my skarmory, that's all I have to say . If you think you're going to flamethrower him, I have a whirlwind I'd like you to meet, and I DARE you to use electric with my electivire waiting in the wings.

Unless your opponent also uses a priority move yours should go first.
My team is a bit under-leveled, however. Currently, I am using:
Infernape
Torterra
Empoleon
Luxray
Garchomp
Palkia

Also, Potions and Revives are your friends.

Not a legendary. I think he's just a one time obtainable like Lucario that's all. Also, like Lucario, you can breed more.
He is actually considered legendary.

No.
He is, however, quite good.

He can breed, and his stats are nowhere near legendary status.

Yes because with support he can beat the shit out of any team with mirror coat and counter. Even wynaut is usually considered uber.
