I've been having some luck with shinies. I got a shiny Manectric with decent IVs, but it's Adamant and has the wrong ability. But my shiny Donphan is awesome where it needs to be... And has a nature that lowers its sp def.
I also have another shiny Phanpy that has a nature that lowers its att
And Shoe never claimed it (Well, when he did, I wasn't around, and he never answered my PMs).
Huzzah! My first real team is complete!
I am still going to work on replacing one of the members, but even if I don't, the old one is still ok! On the plus side, the replacement evolves with a stone so I don't need to e4 grind it.
I need to know if only one of you would want one if I just got one, or if you would all like one and wouldn't mind having clones of one. I can't clone, but someone has already offered to clone one for me if I can acquire one.
And, thanks to someone showing me more kindness than I deserve, I now have:
Logepi
Relaxed
Serene Grace
Level 27
Has Tri Attack
I'd have two or three more, but like a complete idiot I was too slow in responding to the posts. I'm really sorry.
I wouldnt mind having a cloned one, heck I wouldnt even mind if it had a bad nature or IVs and such since nothing spells Doom like a Tri Attack Togepi.
im debating re-starting pearl or just rebuilding another team for fun and profit... last i played was may 10 (go letters!) and havent picked it up since.. my initial six team is really underleveled and im pinned against the ice gym.. suggestions? considering i dotn have e4 to grind against.. can i realistically build up another six pokes just fighting wild pokes?

Sure you can.
I'd grab a Luxray and a Rapidash and eat that gym alive.
Okay, confirm it. I have three copies of Logepi to hand out. I apologize that I could not get three unique ones and realize that some people object to cloning. Still, I think that makes the two copies I originally promised to look for (for Tacofiend and kabuki64) and one extra for whoever wants it. Again, I'm sorry I used cloning and couldn't get unique ones. Now I'm heading to bed, I'm quite tired.
EDIT: Woops, I only have three copies total, but that's fine since I just won't keep one for myself. Really heading to bed now.
You can beat the ice gym rather easily with a fighting type poke, there should be some Medities or Medichams around that area which should help you out. You can find some nice leveling spots for your guys in the wild, I kinda forget where I leveled mine up, but you should fight as many trainers as you can along the way, those are the best to level up off.

hehe.. im just bored of my initial six, my fire poke is lv.. 36? i think.. current team is all three starters zubat alakazam and the last switches depending...
i was thinking on building a new team but im at a loss here ;p
also, i might be interested if someone is breeding (not that i necessarily mind a cloned one, since i'll end up breeding it anyway, just as long as it isn't hax'd IVs etc)
oh wait you can't breed tri attack into it can you ; ;
I hate Bronzor. It's not that he kills me, but he just sits there as my confused idiot of a pokemon kills itself. My hate for Confusion knows no bounds.
Lucario reminds me of Anubis, so I guess it can escape my burning hatred.
Bronzor was especially bad for my team -- if he has a weakness, I couldn't find it, so I had to plink away at him with attacks that did no more than 1/3 of his max HP. While confused and often sleeping. And IIRC he used a HP berry and a potion. It was a mean Gym battle. On the bright side, I now know that I reeaaaally want to find me a Shieldon at some point.
I have a bunch of fossils with them, but the damned thing looks like a Pokegimp. I'm not having that on my team. If you have Pearl just go dig underground, you'll find one within 15 minutes of digging.

Steel and Psychic, isn't he? Which means fire should do the job.
Bronzong can have Heatproof which means it has only one weakness: Fire or Ground. And you don't know which one unless you use one of them. Its toilet-shaped upside down head is tempting me to use it so very hard.

Yup, it's the same reason why I couldn't find an Elemental Punch Zangoose. Idiot programmers not making it so the special moves can get passed down.

Aw, c'mon, it's cute, and Bastod(i?)on is badass. Anyhow -- Diamond here, and I guess it's one of the exclusives. Do you think we could arrange a trade? I haven't found any fossils underground and I don't have much of interest, but I do have a male Turtwig (lv1) and I can find the simpler Diamond exclusives like Stunky and Murkrow.
Try getting one on GTS, don't look for one but ask for one in exchange for one of your Pokes. If all else fails I or someone else can breed one for you later.
On the Anticipation ability, does that apply only to the type of opposing Pokemon, or does it actually hint out the type of moves it's going to have to contend with?

It tells you if the opponent knows a move that would be Super-Effective against your guy.

I think my initial reaction to Toxicroak was correct in thinking it could be a very good one to have in my party.

Yeah, I guess that's the smart thing to do. I sent up a Golduck. Re: Stunky, I meant simple to find. I wouldn't cast aspersions on him, or especially not on Murkrow, who is totally 100% awesome. Mine is named Faustus.

edit: Oh, heh.
Shiny Porygon
Modest

Thing's actually halfway usable!
The rest have bad IVs or natures, though.
The worst offender is this one:
Shiny Gastly
Calm

God, bad IVs and nature where it counts. That shit sucks.
Oh wait...
(would say congrats but is still supposed to be full of hate)

Roselia evolves into Roselade, which is pretty godlike, IIRC.

Infact I think 4 of my pokemans are from this generation, and 2 are from first generation. The two generations I played.
Among the six of them they're probably my favorite pokemon, other than maybe Blastoise and Drifblim, but I don't use those guys.
Sure you can.

Yeah, it's like Bahumut said. Still not much of an aesthetic improvement in my book -- I generally don't go in for the humanoid Pokemon. :P
I've been breeding Pokeymans like a madman.
I think at this point it's just a matter of picking and choosing which ones I want to use.

I think I may just do that

I'm not sure. Shujin, were you asking for the third one? If not it's yours Rockin.
