Seriously, not to fuck around or anything, but really, from every angle I've heard, live sets are not piracy. Also, MM's Lonesome Crowded West and The Moon and Antartica are fucking bitching.

hmmm does sharing live music by artists openly over the forums constitute piracy

    I don't know
    We should ask Tube.

Actually, from many sources I've seen over the internet, live performances don't constitute piracy; at the very least, no one has ever been prosecuted sharing techno sets.

So please, don't ban or delete! Instead, embrace and <3!

Ok 1, that's because they don't recognize techno as worthwhile.

    And 2, hahahah jailed.

Oh , hey! something im totally into.

PS: Techno is an actual subgenre of Electronic music, not the generic genre of itself.

Just thought i'd clear that up.

Drugs are a big part of any club culture. People just like to single out EDM because of those illegal parties (aka raves) that everybody was so into during the 90's!

Also, Sasha and Digweed are the shit.

t bucket: it's been a couple years since I had a good set to listen to. I had a couple of Zabiela's c. 2004 (like, his Essential Mix I think) and really liked where he was going. I was also a pretty big fan of some Gabriel and Dresden around 2003.

so, uh, throw me a set.

I'm uploading the One+One set from WMC this year, for a few of you. It's only at 20% now, but I'm drunk, and I'll PM you as soon as it's finished. Lemme look around for a couple minutes and I'll see if I can't find a couple direct links for you. His sets at Diabolika and Dance Turning Disco were both great, I'll try and find 'em.

EDIT: RPEG do you like Modest Mouse too?

I've been a fan since Lonesome Crowded West, and I really loved the new CD. (fucking hated Good News, though.)

t Glorfindel: I've been completely out of the scene for a couple years, I didn't know they had a CD. I'll have to look for it.

on the legality of trance sets, we can take this to PM or something. but we're kind of talking about live bootlegs here, not ripped CDs or anything.

yeah they released a self-titled album

    i think it's quite good

    Fuck all y'all.

Seriously, I really, really don't think that live sets are illegal, I've read numerous locations that live performances are public domain, and thus legal. However, I can't find evidence to this point, and thus will keep my mouth shut until I can find such evidence.

And yes, I'm drunk and a bit squirrely, but seriously, who would expect less?
