I need a new TV for my room because the old one broke. It was a 27" CRT (standard definition).

I want to get an LCD, around 20-23", but I don't want to spend a lot of money. A lot being like, $500+

I know this is a bad figure but fuck if I can save money. Plus it's my birthday on saturday so you can pitch in for it.

I don't know what brands are good for cheaper ones. I mean, my dad would probably go to the local member's club store and buy a cheap TV if he wanted to, but I don't want one that'll be shit

I mean, 1080p would be awesome but I don't have anything that can do it so 1080i is fine

I don't know if you have a Costco nearby, but there is this brand Vizio that sells only to warehouses like it and is pretty damn cheap.

    Here is a 20" Vizio LCD, 1080i, for $380

Yeah, my dad's plasma is a Vizio that he got from BJ's (like Costco)

    it's pretty nice

I guess I can see what they have over there. I just thought that "no name" brands like that might be crap but I don't really know what I'm talking about

I picked p a 32" Westinghouse at Best Buy a couple weeks back for $420. It is a pretty solid TV.

Check out the Best Buy and Circuit City ads for Independence Day, as well as any local retailers. They usually have decent sales on holidays.

Be careful with Westinghouse TVs. If you buy one, make sure it's not being sold as a monitor. Several Westinghouse models don't have TV tuners in them, so they are sold as monitors.

Which will save you $$$ if you've got a cable box or otherwise don't need the tuner.
