In a surprising move, the opening to LotR: Return of the King was really, really well done. It was an intromovie from the movie itself, which at one point, without menu or loading times, merged into the first level. This has always stuck into my mind as great.

The vault tutiral video from FO2 was fucking golden
I love the way it ends, when the vault-dwellers take their first steps into the real world. There are no words and no warnings - just the high-pitched whine of a gattling gun spinning into motion followed by screams and silence. I literally shuddered the first time I saw it.
One other I'd suggest for notable mention however, would be the intro for System Shock 2. Not for it's graphical appeal, but rather it's audio. Specifically her voice. It's just so...perfect. I get chills down my spine whenever I hear that very distinctive voice.
First I've got to ask why a majority of people don't label their videos? I don't feel like loading crap intros or something I've seen before/something I know is crap (and generally don't click on random youtube links)...it's not all that hard to add a game's name to the label...
Second, I'll add to my former recommendations with Dungeon Master 2. It's not overly elaborate, but something about the increasing urgency of the music as they climb levels just got me pumped to play the game. Unfortunately, I never managed to actually get into the castle before accidentally destroying my SegaCD disc.

That made me never want to play a Tekken game. Ever.
I remember the first time I played it. Nothing has ever been that amazing.

However my favourites are Half-Life 1 & 2 and Dawn of War.

Totally can't believe I forgot that.
HGW's reworking of the MGS theme is probably my favorite piece of video game music, ever.
after watching the intro i totally forgot Jean Reno was in it. really should hunt that game down and finish it.
also katamari i cant play this game without watching this all the way through first.
edit:damn it was on the first page. oh well it needs to be said twice.
