So, the production values would probably as good as they can in a porno. But it's not real romantic stuff, probably: female pirates getting it on with male pirates in a cheesy story, most likely. Also, I believe there is at least one girl-on-girl scene, so if she's not into that you may want to skip it, as porn is too expensive to have a good chunk of it be unwatchable.
There's also a fantasy one (think Labyrinth) made pretty recently with Jenna Jameson called "Dreamquest"- that was pretty good on the production values as well.
Also, look up Andrew Blake. Most of his stuff is girl-girl, but he has done some girl-boy films in the past and they're really classy.

I would totally second Andrew Blake, but like he said a lot of it is girl-girl, and sometimes it get's a little weird. IIRC (I'd probably avoid dollhouse, unless you have a stake fettish).
edit: on second thoughts, it's probably too arty. (I don't mean that in a weird way, it's just almost too abstracted from porn to really count).
Maybe too artistic, but I can tell you that the movie called "Night Trips" is a masterpiece, not only visually, but also the music keeps me in a trance.
Some of Ninn's stuff is really hardcore, but even on those videos the production value is still fantastic. Andrew Blake, like some have said, may be too arty. Anything by Viv Thomas should work too, but he does a lot of girl-girl only movies as well.
I'm also really interested in seeing The DaVinci Load now, so maybe that would be a good one too.
I don't recommend the Island Fever series unless the girl is already horny. All I can think about is the sand on the beach going places that it really shouldn't...

Also, I think there's a fine line between films that are hot for women and films that are boring. The goatmen porn previously mentioned in the thread sounds like it might fall into that category.
