I ingested a lot of vodka yesterday night, and I'm still feeling pretty tore up. I've drank a lot of water and I'm still feeling pretty shitty. Any suggestions?

Take a solid nap. I find that sometimes I can stretch a hangover all day if I haven't had enough sleep. Go to bed and get back up when you feel better.

If this isn't an option then get a powerade/gatorade as mentioned. Keep hydrated and regulate your breathing as best you can; deep breaths nice and slowly.

Gaterode is good. A fruit Smoothie and a multi-vitamin is better.

Coffee/red bull/no doze to reach the correct level of alertness.

I'm assuming that sleep isn't an option.

Greasy food and a nap has always worked pretty well for me.

If the alcohol is out of your system try some advil or tylenol. Keep hydrated. Consider just sleeping it off.

Go to a Jamba Juice. Get a power BananaBerry with a energy Boost.

My standard. I was the first jamba juice customer of 2006 at my local store

McDonalds Sausage and Egg McMuffin, or the one that has the pancake-esque material instead of the english muffin. It's been so long since I've been in North America that I've forgotten what it's called.

    Perfect hangover food.

I remember a doctor stating that the best way to prevent a hangover is with water and aspirin before bed.

In the morning, more of that, and he recommended eggs as an excellent food to eat.

Edit: Alright, I just found it online. It was Dr. Oz on Oprah.

Is there a cure for a hangover?

Dr. Oz says avoiding a hangover starts the night before when you are drinking. "You never really want to have alcohol without water next to it. You need the water to flush it through your system. That's pretty simple," he says. "But the alcohol you drink should be the color of water, ideally, as well." Dr. Oz says this is because darker alcohols contain more congeners, which he says are what causes hangovers.

If you wake up with a hangover, Dr. Oz says to eat something—especially eggs. "Eggs are effective because the eggs, in their yolk, have something called N-acetyl-cysteine," he says. "What it really is, is a way of giving your body antioxidants, and those antioxidants are critically important to your liver that's going to battle right now trying to cleanse all the junk that's left over."

Dr. Oz says taking aspirin can help reduce the inflammation caused by drinking. A cup of Joe doesn't hurt either. "Coffee's pretty effective, because alcohol is a depressant. Alcohol takes you down," he says. Unfortunately, when you sleep after drinking alcohol, Dr. Oz says it's not "good sleep." "[Alcohol] just sort of gets you into a sleepy period, and you're depressed all night long. Coffee's a stimulant, so it gets you going again in the morning."

Sometimes induced vomit can bring you right out of it if it's mostly a stomach issue.

    Sleep it is.

Good to know all this stuff folks.

Some jerkface suggested a goofy concoction with eggs.

This is not a Rocky movie.

    Thanks!

Prairie Oyster. Effective as shit, but one of those cures that most people would consider worse than the illness.

    McGriddle, I believe.

Also, In addition to the other suggestions, I try to avoid things like video games for a while, until my headache goes away. A big meal and a long nap usually help me the most.
