This thread is about cell-phone-ery and everything you can do with a cell phone these days. I'm not very knowledgeable with them but I'd enjoy learning some things from some of the brighter on the boards.
Let me start:
I have a Sony Ericsson K790i .. it has a sweet camera (3.2 MP) but no optical zoom (/cry). I bought it from Rogers and they fucked everything up (like mp3's.. you can only buy from their online store and can't just add them into your phone from your computer without first converting them to WMA - retarded!) and some functions are locked with the firmware they think we need.
Questions: Can I get the original firmware onto my phone easily and without having to pay moneys? Will I still be able to use my phone on the Rogers plan I have once I do? What cool shit can you do with cellphones nowadays that might be fun to do on this Sonylol Ericsson?

5x optical zoom on a camera-phone that still fits in your pocket quite easily

well on the subject of cool stuff, i remember there being a thread about some game that was made that used the camera for some kind of 'augmented reality' shooter. You'd use the camera on your phone to hunt monsters or something, by moving the phone around and watching the display, it'd then show some sort of monster (projected over the camera's display) that you had to shoot. Or something.
I used to have Worms for my really old cellphone which was a blast to play with another person (hotseat - if you can call it that) but horrible to play vs the computer opponents. They would randomly aim straight down and sink their whole team in one fell shot.
There's gotta be a really good puzzle game worth mentioning (too bad Puzzle Quest wasn't cellphone ported).
It has backgammon, a ping-pong game and something else I can't remember. It's a Nokia 3510i if I remember correctly, but it may be something else. The neatest thing about is the color display and the fact that it's a phone.
Here is a feature I wish my phone had (if you know one with it, let me know):
You would be able to set it up to turn the ringer on silent/vibrate at a certain time, and back on ringer at a certain time.
For example, at 0730 I get to work, I want it to be on vibrate, at 1630 I'm leaving, I want it to automatically change back to my ringer. Also would be able to tell it only change on weekdays.
bigwah on
LoL Tribunal:
"Was cursing, in broken english at his team, and at our team. made fun of dead family members and mentioned he had sex with a dog."
"Hope he dies tbh but a ban would do."

It was cool.
No games that are worth mentioning?
That question is to everyone.
