The Skrull empire and some of the other empires of the Marvel U have their own Galaxies.
So even a decimated population of Skrulls should still be an insane fuckton.
Billions of them, I'm sure, hundreds of billions wouldn't surprise me. Though with all the chaos of Galactus and Annihilation, there's no telling how much of the population would be available to an invasion force, as opposed to being refugees or just holding on to what they have left.

Yeah, we don't know how large the Invasion force that made it to earth is. It's small enough that they're hiding on Attilan, though.
So, there is a new article over on Newsarama with some spoilers and speculation on who is a Skrull. Of particular note is number six, about Ms Marvel's book.
Brian Reed also admitted in a recent letter column that there is definiately[sic] a Skrull in the midst over in Carol Danvers’ book, as well as, get this, a Kree.
Marvel posted a Secret Invasion teaser image on their site. I think it would be interesting if Ms. Marvel or even Captain Marvel were Skrulls since one is Kree and the other got her powers from Kree technology. It's also interesting that there are no villains in this pic. There's even a Howard The Duck Skrull (Howard The Skrull?)! That's the funniest thing since Lobo The Duck!

Yeah, like the article said, Wonder Man would definitely be a good choice, and would knock out the "There's a Skrull in the Mighty Avengers" requirement, too. And Agent Sum is clearly something.
But as someone on sacns_daily pointed out, her publicist is kinda suspect, too.
My current bet is Wonder Man and the publicist are Skrulls and Agent Sum is the Kree. But that's probably because I like Sum as much as I can like any minor character.
She was dead by Ultron! But then wasn't! It was the perfect opportunity to slip in, toss out the old body, and get comfortable and then pretend that she didn't really die, and her death was all a crazy dream.

Spider-Woman's a skrull.
I just reread New Avengers: Civil War and man, Tony Stark completely rats her out to SHIELD, has her arrested, tells her that the only reason he trusted her was cause Cap said so... and the first thing she does is inform him about the skrulls? And then join his team? That doesn't make the least bit of sense to me.
Also, I had completely forgotten the Chaykin issue of NA. God, both Bendis and Fraction/Brubaker got saddled with that yutz. Who the hell is he blackmailing to get work on good books like that?

I don't know how that would benefit the Skrulls, though. Pissing Sentry off will cause him to destroy the universe, while having him wallow in grief takes him out of the game yet again once the object of his ire, Ultron, is removed from the picture.
Maybe the skrull wife could pretend to be a life-model decoy put in place by Stark, though. That would put Sentry on the wrong side, and be a huge advantage. Unfortunately, if Sentry finds out what really happens then he goes right back to being the death of the Skrull race.

Like she said, he's the top cop on the planet. If he's a Skrull, it's not like it's a huge fuckup to tell him she knows. If he isn't, well fuck I think maybe SHEILD needs to know about this shit. Unless the NA have a massive superhuman army just laying around somewhere.

Well, they're training one, but it's infiltrated too. As for Sentry, his 'wife' could cause him to become paranoid about the rest of the Avengers, alienating him from any defense plans they might make.
This is my fav theory, just because (a) it fits Stark's obsessive desire to control people (hey, I like the character, but that doesn't mean I think he's right), and (b) it eliminates the "Sentry is manipulating reality again" thing.
After being told that Sentry had just been 'hiding' his spire atop Stark Tower for decades, despite destruction, rebuilding, magical scans, telepaths, reality-rewriting, etc., I don't want to have another "Sentry can do damned near anything!" moment.
Well, it seems he will still be important to the series. Just not for the reason you mentioned.
Yeah...
...more in a 'oh-God-why-didn't-we-learn-from-Parker's-problems-with-clones' kind of way. In fact, I'm now curious to see this guy pop up in the Initiative series.

Yeah she's definatley fishy.
Although isn't there also a Kree hiding in Ms. Marvel's cast? I'm sure I saw/heard that somewhere.

"We need Tony to beat this, and if he's a Skrull we are all fucked anyway"
Q - Are we going to see Thor, or even better, Thor versus Sentry in the pages of Mighty Avengers at any point soon?
A - Yes
Me: Weeeee!

Unless he gets hacked again, of course.
I went from outright throwing out the first issue of The Initiative...to adding it to my pull list.
Goddamn it is fantastic.
Man, you dumbass. You were so wrong.
Yeah...
Anyone remember him? ^.^
