What do you think when you think about WWII games? Why, shooters and the occasional strategy right? Well Battlestations Midway goes beyond that! It is a naval strategy/action game in which you command US or Japanese naval forces during the Pacific Campaign. The interesting part of it is, while you do command the strategy and tactics of your entire fleet, you can jump in and take command of any individual ship, plane or submarine at any time and get a part of the action yourself. From the smallest PT Boat, to the most enormous Battleship or Aircraft Carrier, you can command them all. The game features a decent single-player campaign, but the real meat is in the multiplayer action. With up to 8 players and over a hundred units, the action is fast-paced and intense. The game is out on both PC and Xbox360
I haven't seen any topic about BM, so I thought i'd create one. And here's a few screenshots to you people a taste of Battlestations Midway:
This was a great game. I think what hurt it though is that a MP game could take upwards of an hour, if not longer ... and sometimes a big part of that hour would be you watching your teamates because your ship got sunk first.
Still a great hardcore WWII pseudo sim title though.
I definitely plan on getting this when I finally get around to buying a 360... I hope at least a couple of people are still playing it on Live by then.

Wish there was more content pre-DLC, though.
