Lawl, how am I disgracing him? If you've ever even read the Punisher which I have pretty everything of him then you'd know he swore ever since he first got his series and he does a lot more in the MAX stuff and graphic novels.

I guess I could see what you're saying if you're annoyed that I used the wrong "their" once and had to edit or his musculature was a bit exaggerated but otherwise he seems completely normal to me. Maybe I should add rainbows coming out of his mouth to symbolize his colorful speech and make it friendlier.

Oh or maybe I should've put in the old asterisks and stuff so I could leave his swearing up to your imagination. My bad.

    (b) Sentry AND Nova? So, I guess all of us better start thinking of our "defeat the nigh-omnipotent guy" solutions? (although I guess we can all just insult Sentry, and apparently Nova is
    almost dead

    (c) Any idea when we'll have the first match? Or have I missed that being posted?

    (a) You got Invincible since he was listed as your first choice. If you still want Iron Man, you have some time to change your mind.

    (b) In a straight up fist fight, they may be overpowered. But a lot of the matches won't be, and being overpowered may be a detriment in a fight where how entertaining the entry is decides the winner.

    (c) The first match is tentatively scheduled for the 27th, at the moment. After sign-ups close, I'll have a brief assignment that doesn't count in terms of standings, and then I'll announce match-ups. Matches will begin a week later.

Personally, I'm entirely in favour of Hughtron's choice of Batman Jones. And I say that as someone who's only ever seen the cover with him on it.

Also, I just picked up a bunch of back issues of Grant Morrison's run on Animal Man, in order to help me write him. Sadly, nothing I can do would ever help me draw him:

    animalpowerslc7.png

If I do go with sprite comics for this, it will officially be the stupidest thing I've ever done.

EDIT: Damn, there goes my data transfer limit. I need to find some decent webhosting before the tournament so I can actually put things up.

We've yet to see how important the actual drawing part is so I wouldn't worry. You should at least be able to draw better than me so you won't be dead last in that category.

    Who is Batman Jones?

Second question: will I regret the first question?

He was a guy who rode around on a bicycle in a Batman costume, using rudimentary equipment. Astonishingly, he actually met with great success, keeping up with Batman using his own skills of deduction. I've been waiting years for someone to update him and use him for an arc. Really, think about how cool a low-budget Batman could be in a modern story.

The best part is Batman Jones? That's not a moniker because he's a nobody. It's not a codename. His name is Batman Jones. His parents were thankful Batman saved them, so they named their kid Batman.

I honestly don't know much about the current in-continuity Jimmy Olsen. I'm mostly familiar with the Silver Age version, and most importantly, All-Star Superman's version. I think the All-Star Superman issue about Jimmy is maybe my favorite single issue of a comic in a long time.

Well, the current Jimmy appears to have a lot in common with the Silver Age one, since he's got super-powers popping up like some kind of meta-human puberty.

I'd agree though that the All-Star Jimmy is my favorite, if just because of how insane he seems.

Of course, I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to deal with this: I'm losing access to a scanner ON the 27th for a few weeks...I might literally have to mail it to someone with a scanner =P (though I get back to a scanner on the 9th...)
