BILL + TED SEQUEL TO GO AHEAD WITHOUT REEVES OR WINTER
The long-awaited sequel to the BILL + TED movies is set to go into production this year (07) - without the franchise's original stars KEANU REEVES or ALEX WINTER. Bill + Ted's Excellent Adventure, a film about time-travelling teens, propelled Reeves and Winter to fame in 1989, and was followed two years later by Bill + Ted's Bogus Journey. The Los Angeles Times reports MGM Studios and 360 Pictures have teamed up with horror producer Frank Mancuso Jr. to produce the third movie. The Times reports both Winter and Reeves were interested in reprising their roles, but the latter's agent suggested it could ruin the Matrix star's career.

I call on you SE++ to help put an end to this ABOMINATION! WE NEED Reeves and Winter!!! This calls for a letter writing campaign!

We need to find the address of Keanu's agent and start sending him one letter each a day for the next month saying we want Keanu in Bill and Ted.

    - Nostalgia is cyclic, and 15-20 years is generally a great time to revive a franchise i.e. Transformers
    - George "Rufus" Carlin is still alive and still awesome

    Yeah, I was about to berate him for that. He should be ashamed.

    I really want this to happen, but I would be really disappointed if it didn't have Reeves and Winter.

    So I guess I'm in on this petition or whatever, but I must confess I am terribly lazy and will probably not write any letters.

    And how would this ruin their careers? These movies are very popular with my generation, as far as I can tell, and is probably one of Reeves's best known roles, after The Matrix.

    Ok what about a petition. We are going to both Blizzcon and PAX I am sure we could get close to 50000 signitures to a petition from both locations. But that would also require effort which I do not want to put forth.
