A New Spider-Man Video Game has been announced, Spider-Man: Friend or Foe.

You may ask yourself, "Oh so he'll be teaming up with old-time allies such as The Human Torch or Daredevil to fight the Green Goblin and Venom, right?"


No, it turns out you'll be working with The Green Goblin, Venom, Doc Ock and others.

    The problem is the design is in the vein of the old co-op beat-em-ups that'd star Spidey and Venom. Give me co-op play where I can swing around with a buddy and I'm good to go!

    At least Johnny Storm and Daredevil.

    But again, it's supposed to be 13 and all we've seen are Green Goblin, Sandman, New Goblin, Venom and Doc Ock. So that's 8 more. 7 if you're banking on Fury helping out too.

    Hmm, actually doesn't look half-bad. Apparently aimed at younger players, it'll probably have a simplistic plot that explains Spidey being forced to team up with the villains. Graphics look alright, very cartoony, hopefully not quite finished yet. Some of the characters looked like they were moving in slo-mo. Like the art-style from what I've seen so far (Venom resembles his big, bulky comic-book version while still retaining elements of SM3 Venom. Probably what they'll be doing for the Eddie version of Venom when he finally returns in the comics).

    But those are equal to Batman: Rise of Sin Tzu or whatever the title was.

    Which came out around 2-3 years ago.

    Oh, don't get me wrong, I fucking love cel-shading

    but there are like no round edges in that image. Everything is sharp

    You know what Spider-Man game rocked? 'Spider-Man vs. The Kingpin' for the Genesis/Sega CD. (The Sega CD version had neato animated cinemas, terrible but hilarious soundtrack, and a free roaming New York City map system waaay ahead of its time)

    I still have it around here somewhere and I love it to death.

    Why? The interview pretty clearly stated that it's a kid's game. Captain America and the Avengers wasn't exactly a triple-A, true-to-the-material game, but I sure loved it when I was in 2nd grade.
