Eh we've rolled for "who gets the shadow priest/elemental shaman/BM hunter group" plenty of times. Sometimes it's an obvious choice, sometimes you've got five people who all put out good DPS and no good way to decide who gets the sweet group.

But it shouldn't be a big deal for them. Sure, they'll do less dps, but we'll all know why, because someone else got the shadow priest mana fountain.

Well, sure, but that doesn't mean they don't still want to be the one with the mana fountain. I'm not saying it's worth freaking out about if you lose the roll or get switched out of the group, but there IS an appeal to being in the best group.

I'm one of those quiet people in the guild who really doesn't talk in vent or get upset about much. I'm sure you had one of me in your raid and I know that they'd be happy with a Gruul clear with partial guild and partial fill-ins. Even if no one got loot I know I'd still love to be there doing my job like a good little raider should and love to do.

Great: Raided today for the first time in months. Got to experience the Aran and Prince fights for the first time. Both as DPS (i'm a prot warrior, OT in this case). We 2-shotted Aran (i died first, arcane explosion you say? ).

Hate: Prince is a fucker. He's hard enough on the tank (2 wipes due to too much spike damage), but the infernals were being especially retarded, always landing around us first, then on our healers or backing us into a corner and then falling on us. So we called it. I felt bad because it was pretty obvious i was the weak link on account of my inexperience.

Hate rank 2: The Guild Leader (or co-leader, whatever) leaves the guild late at night because he's pissed that people have a social life and during the summer the attendance and progression goes down, causing us to not do 25-mans lately. He's not been the first to quit, and we have a big shortage of healers atm. I've only been in this guild for a few days and it's already beginning to die like my last guild did.

Improved Great: So i hear those Netherwing Eggs are rare? Well i found THREE of the damn things tonight! 1 was in the entrance to the mines (so it must have spawned JUST as i came in or something) and 2 were found in Nethercite Deposits (wierd place to lay your eggs, but i'm not complaining).

It got to the point where our GM outlawed comedy /gquits and /gkicks by simply removing ginvite and gkick rights for everyone but himself and his alts

Drives him slightly insane having to handle invites, but it makes it really funny when someone tries for a comedy /gquit and doesn't get an invite for the next week or so :o

    Hate: Doing BM

Thrilling hate based event: Today I tried two groups for BM to finish getting attuned for Kara.

First group has a mage that doesn't understand aoeing or dpsing and we wipe several times on the second boss till we call it quits.

Second time is me and two guildies with the healer from the first group and a non-prot tank. The mage guildy says "BRB" when we finally get the group ready and dc's for twenty minutes. Coming back just as we start getting close to finding another person. We get to the instance and clear sorta smoothly to the second boss and wipe. We try again getting to the second boss with Medivh having barely been scratched. We take him down fast and hard. Now comes the final boss.

The mage is drinking right where the boss spawns and dies. He pulls to the rest of us and we systematically die. I yell release and run at everyone with the pally and tank barely hanging on. They die as we are still running with everyone calling a wipe and the healer saying they were done for the night. They say this right as I walk in and see Medivh still has 25% shield. We BLITZ to the boss and I get there with 6% left on the shield. I Toss a lightning bolt. Tank pulls aggro off me after one swipe. Everyone is at halfish health and mana. A furious rain of dps starts and with us all starting so badly manage to down the boss with medivh sitting safely at 4% shield. Boss dropped a nice hat for the guildy and some pants we sharded.

    I'm now Kara keyed.

    Hate:
Karazhan Attunement. Now don't get me wrong, it's good that its there as it can possibly prevent the really shitty players from getting into your Karazhan groups, but I'm on my 4th character getting attuned, 3 were mine, the current is my friends priest.
I did Arcatraz today with some of the dumbest people. I joined the group and we just needed a tank, after about 90 minutes we find one. We get to the door, and at that point is the first time that the leader asks if we have the key to get in... nobody did but I got in the door thanks to some horde, 2 people were slow and didn't get in. So I log onto my paladin, fly it up there and open the door and 2 people run in. Hop back on the priest and the fucking warlock is outside for some dumbshit reason. So I log out and let him in then switch back to the priest.
Finally, we can get rolling through this and get it done quickly right? Wrong! The druid that is tanking has never been there and has shitty gear so we crawl through there with me pulling because hes too fucking slow to do it. Finally get the fragment after an hour and the rogue goes and leaves because he's tired. So the druid says he has someone that can come in so I tell him, make sure they have the key because I don't want to switch and let them in. Well the replacement shows up and asks to be let in.... then some horde open the door. About 10 minutes later the warrior(replacement) runs into the room and wipes us, the warlock didn't soulstone me for some reason so we are finished.

Now, on to BM. I get invited to a group who's tank is a paladin, my main is a Prot paladin so I have no problem with it, except his healing is 8000 unbuffed, the warlock and hunter had more, same warlock as before fyi. I say screw it, I need to get keyed. We start off fine, dps is a bit slow on the Rift Keepers and the next portals are opening just as we finish the one we are on, no big deal right? Wrong again! The warlock fucking goes afk on the 3rd portal, we have 1 dps on the Rift Keeper, we end up with 3 Rifts open at once. 3 beacons later its all cleaned up and the boss spawns while adds are still pounding on the shield which is at 30% by now. Kill the boss finally, yay, time to drink, no, nevermind, theres a ton of adds on the shield and the next portal is up already. We wipe as the 12 portal spawns and 4 are up at once.

What happened to the decent players from 2 months ago when I did these instances last?

Re _X_: D: I understand the need to get attuned, but that's pretty torturous, submitting yourself to a 90 minute wait for a tank, and running an instance with a PUG where you waste time anyone dies and has to be let in.

Also, I do wish people would break the idea that a tank always has to pull. It'd be nice or helpful(but not as good as a hunter, if you have one), but not necessary, and the initiative should be taken if the tank is going to slow.

As for the pulling, I couldn't really do it since I was the healer and with pugs most likely you will die if you are cloth and pull.
