I'm sure you all know of the importance of net neutrality. Without it, ISPs are entirely at their discretion to control the consumers speed between any site, or block them all together. The FCC recently decided(through lobbying of several large companies) that net neutrality should be done away with. There's still a chance to stop this, and it's up to concerned citizens like us to stop it.
http://www.savetheinternet.com/ Is a site with all kinds of resources on spreading the word on how we can keep net neutrality intact. But we have to move quick, as there are only 3 days before the deadline. This doesn't require any snailmail, or even an e-mail. http://www.savetheinternet.com/yourstory is a form you can fill out and they will take care of sending it through for you.
They have even more things you can do at http://www.savetheinternet.com/=act, so please do as much as you can. Act swiftly, time is running out for net neutrality.
Because I'm all for net neutrality, even though I'm in the UK, and feel like the whole idea of getting rid of neutrality should be squashed before it has chance to take root.
I would like to see government stay as much out of the internet as is possible. After reading through their website I am a bit torn on their policy. Maybe it’s simply how some of the words are written as I came away feeling they want to go a step further and guarantee everyone the fastest internet access possible.
I honestly don’t have a solution as I attempt to look at the many facets of this issue. There is the very real and what I can only agree with fair practice of allowing companies that utilize their resources to build infrastructure and then to charge for its use on what they feel it should cost. We do have the issue given that its a utility infrastructure and thus does not necessarily fall under fair free market economics and thus requires government intervention.
Also having help implement voIP between regional offices for a corporation it would have been nice to have the possibility of subscribing to prioritized p2p packet service of some kind.
I also strongly agree that none established routes should have any form of favoritism or priority as quoted “Net Neutrality means no discrimination. Net Neutrality prevents Internet providers from speeding up or slowing down Web content based on its source, ownership or destination.â€

The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?
I've got two of my old offices on the Hill to cosponsor the bill, so I feel I've done my part to Save Net Radio. Plus my company runs the little "find out your rep and call him" part of savenetradio.org, which I didn't know until I went there a month ago.

No they're not. Stop it.
Believe me, I was big into the whole savetheinternet thing a year or two ago because I didn't understand how the current laws are set up and what net neutrality really means. I was initially angry. I wrote my congressmen, etc. I received a few letters back, made a few phone calls, and did some research. Check out the previous net neutrality thread for more detailed information.
I've already both sent letters to and called my representative's office.
Then again, I live in California, land of Diane Feinstein. Might not do me any good.

I sent mine.
I really wish someone would explain to me why on fucking earth removing net neutrality would be a good idea for anyone other than phone/internet companies.

I'm personally skeptical whether this site's operators will be able to accomplish anything, but at worst, it can't hurt to try. So try!

Yes! I'm listening to Launchcast right now. I will die if it dies. We are one.
I sent out a net neutrality letter through their form ages ago. Any way to find out how my reps lean?
I sent a letter directly to my representative. I got a response too. He and I are on the same page it seems.

PLEASE, people. Net neutrality and internet radio equality are huge issues where we MUST raise our voices, or suffer the consequences.

No one deserves this kind of shit.

I do not want America to set a precedent on this for the rest of the world.

remove it, create it, whatever. And why do we have 2 captain k's?

There's a big difference between removing or destroying something and not creating it in the first place, is all.
As for your other question, he's my doppleganger.
