    Question about Death:
Is there an exact time frame for the amount of time it takes for him to appear? Just curious because I was on a floor filled with wealth hands and after about 1 or 2 battles he decided to show up.

Sometimes when I play SMT games I just ask myself what they were thinking. Floor 135 is one of those times.

    Nope.

First off, floor properties affect how long it takes him to spawn. He'll spawn nearly right away on some floors. You'll USUALLY get a warning, but not always.

Second, the normal flaws seem to vary quite a bit at random.

Yukari will use a group heal if two or more members are hurt to the point of needing healing, otherwise she will use the bigger heal spell on a single target.

    On the topic of 135.
It was more luck I think, I created a persona with mediarama that heals around 160 per person and I made sure I could lower the thing's attack, then I just endured. Also, make sure you cure fear quickly, for me, it spent like 6 rounds fearing someone while I just cured it so it couldn't use it's "instant kill to feared allies" attack on me.

Guys something odd happened, I was grinding for Mediorama and my character got to level 43 and so did Yukari. Now the odd thing is my character is level 43 and Yukari is level 41...now unless my brain is mush and I can't remember the last 4 hours something is very wrong.

I just got the message about the friendship starting to become more intimate or something. It was after we went to the library and she's level 3 or so. Yuko is also level 3 but it still said we were just club friends or something last time. I definitely would've remembered if it said she started to think of me more intimately or something.

I want to get them both as high as possible before switching to the other just so I have the most leeway possible since I'll have to max out the one before leveling the other (right?) which puts me on a somewhat loose time limit.

Once one dateable female reaches rank 5 or so, you start dating them. If you get any other datable female up to that same point, the first female will go into reverse. Once you reach rank 10, you can start dating other girls again.

Okay thanks. I was trying to check on gamefaqs or something but ugh I can't stand it there and I was afraid of spoilers so I had to go way back in pages, just so any bad spoiled topic titles would've been deleted. According to one message it looks like the game will also sort of tell me when to focus on one so that's nice.

Chiming in with my love of the game again. It's been a while since I played a game that can make me surprised it's morning.

My only real complaint so far is the terrible summer vacation implementation. The 'island trip' event was well handled, and I could tolerate sports practice (especially since it unlocked the neat Star arcana route), but what the fuck? Mandatory summer school which wastes a week of character and Tartarus time? Even though I aced my goddamn final? Fuck you, game developers. Of course summer vacation isn't very well designed in general. I'm at rank 7 with Chihiro, why can't I just call her up and be like "hey baby, want to hang?" Hell, I managed to unlock Yukari, the girl I'm really interested in, right on 7/24 and I was thinking I'd be able to chill with her over the break because we live in the same damned building. LOL, NOPE. You are extremely limited on what you can do socially during summer break and it's driving me batty. There should have been some way of getting together with your school friends over the break, and it's been crimping my enjoyment of the game. It DOES give me time to work on some of out-of-school stuff (especially the MMO), but still, not being able to contact friends during summer break kind of wrecks my immersion, especially when at least two said friends/social links live one floor above me.

When school's in session, though, brilliant, brilliant game that I've been savoring like a fine wine. And the plot is... actually interesting!

And I want to know what the fuck is up with their leader. Why does he look almost exactly like Elizabeth? Their skin, eye and hair color match. Put him in a blue suit and he could be a Velvet Room butler.

Man, I'm almost to 7/1 and I'm still 3/3/3 on all my socials, and my two highest S Links are Chariot and Strength at 5 a piece. I don't know how you guys do it.

It helps that I've played through once already so I know the calendar pretty well and know what I can schedule when. I'm at work so I'm not 100% sure but I think I'm 3 on Academics, 4-5 on Charm and 6 on Courage and its early July. Right now I'm working on figuring out how to get everything maxed (S.Links and Stats) the first play-through, which I hear is possible. Knowing keys dates (like when you can first get Priestess, or Empress or Lovers, for example) is really useful. Having gone to college with a Japanese dude who is a freak for games, he clued me in to being really attentive to what happens when in this game.
I think the key is to getting priestess as early as possible, which requires (because I think I'm going to need every after school for S. Link leveling) going to Karaoke every night possible and running Tartarus until you're tired on Fridays (so you can get the courage potion from the Nurse). My real concerns here is that 1- I have to be on top of my game every time I go into Tartarus because I'm not going to get a lot of opportunities; 2- that I'm leveling appropriately- I know early on there are bosses that serve as sort of "level checks" like the Change Statue or whatever it's called, and my concern is that I am going to sail through some bosses that are largely "persona-checks" and wind up having to waste time grinding when I hit a level check boss later on; and 3- that by leveling courage nearly exclusivly at first (but still visiting the shrine and studying before bed), while I know I can hit the charm cap by the time lovers is available, I may not hit the Academics cap before Empress would be first available.

And yes, I know that I am essentially staring into a yawning maw of madness here.

I know she's the Lovers S.Link, but I've never gone beyond the first level with it as it was late in the game on my first play-through when I unlocked her. I think you need max charm (I think the S.Links that are tied to your stats are tied to every even level- so you unlock one at Academics 2, 4 and 6, Charm 2, 4 and 6... I've basically used the process of elimination to figure out that you need 6 charm for her. But if anyone disagrees, let me know. There may be a date involved too, like you need 6 charm and can't start the link until some in-game event happens).

I'm at 7/13, and I just beat both 3rd block bosses in one tartarus run, and I'm not even tired yet. Probably because I'm not using Junpei. I like the guy, but he's a weak bastard... at least he is on my play. He's always the first to get tired, and the first to bite the big one.

That's because at least part of what determines when you get tired is the amount of HP you have at the end of battle. Since Junpei's skills are mostly physical, he'll usually have a lower HP at the end of battles.

Honestly, once you're around level 20-25, it doesn't matter because you'll rarely get tired anyway.

Ooooh, that's what decides it. I knew it was probably something like that. Also, I learned that if someone's unconscious, they'll leave if you warp down.

Well, now I know that can't be what decides it. I just had two people in a row get fatigued with near full health after battles. HP left after a fight can't be what triggers it.

    Part =/= All

Yeah. I do wonder, though, what all determines it.

I think it's a function of the number of battles (or # of enemies?) fought and the amount of damage taken v. character level. I know it's not the flat out amount of time spent in Tartarus as I've spent hours in there just trying to get Elizabeth her damn gold hands.
