System starting antivirus sweep..............
System loading DFS..............
DFS: Malware found in /Phalla/temp
DFS: /Phalla/temp quarantined.
DFS: Starting antivirus protocol 153.
DFS: ********************************PROTOCOL 153********************************
DFS: There are 12 files in /Phalla/temp that must be deleted to end protocol 153
DFS: All files are allowed to vote to delete a file. To vote, they must publically vote: someone. Ties either delete one file at random, delete all files, or delete all uncorrupted files.
DFS: All files are being monitored. To run, they must publically target: someone
DFS: These can be retracted and then changed by using !retract someone or !retract someone.
DFS: Some files may have hidden powers which cannot be publically monitored, and which can have different targets from their public runtime.
DFS: There may be none, any or all of the following: seers, guardians, vigilantes, thralls, masons, items, millers, death millers, power stealing, power destruction, power redirection.
DFS: There is no conversion, resurrection, or randomness, and every rule (except the order of powers) is known by at least one program.
DFS: See the wiki article and previous games for examples and explanations, or message the system operator with any questions.
DFS: Files remaining in /Phalla/temp
Write Access Denial: Protects self from being deleted by target file's group's private runtime. (clarified)
Sweeper: Query whether or not target is malware.
Runtime Suppressor: Temporarily shuts down target's public runtime the cycle you use it. (clarified)
Filename Swapper: If target file is to be deleted, this file is deleted instead.
System Deletion Protocol: If this file is deleted, target is deleted as well.
Runtime Redirector: Target's public runtime protocol is run on this file, instead.
Public Runtime Logger: Query target's public runtime program.
Miscellaneous Rules:
Please don't take screenshots of PMs or use anonymous means of communication.
Please don't quote any PM from me, except for your role PM.
Don't forward PMs you are sending to the narrator to other people.
If you start a temporary board for a group, send me the URL so I can keep an eye on you.
Once you are deleted, you are deleted. There will be no dead thread. You can make one “aw, shucks” post, if you wish.
Please, if you are going to stop playing, tell me before disappearing, and I will try to replace you.
Please send everything before 11 PM EDT. Anything with a time after 10:59 PM is a command for the next day.
Don't be inactive. I will be actively punishing people who don't post enough, unless you PM me with a good excuse.
Please be crafty.
Please make up roles.
Please have fun!
Clarifications
One. Private runtimes and public runtimes can have two different targets, if you have both.
Two. The first day ends at 11 PM EDT on Saturday.
Three. The sizes and dates on the player list don't mean anything.
Four. Unless your role PM says you are a Virus, your objective is to delete the 12 malware files.
Five. Every file has a public runtime, including Virii.
Six. There are some public runtimes not listed in the OP. Some public runtimes are run by multiple files.
Seven. Every single file has a public runtime. Targets for this power are publically chosen in this thread, but most of the results will not be public.
Eight. You don't have to use your public power every cycle.
Nine. Everything not bolded in a narration is flavor text. (This post is not a narration.)
Does 12 bad guys in 40 people strike anybody as a lot?
Also I doubt file size means anything, but maybe to see we should vote off the biggest and smallest file sizes to be sure. With that in mind !vote: Cheez
OP flavor text would never point at a bad guy right off the bat. The filesizes are almost definitely irrelevant.
Of course there are multiple files of the same size... 704 bytes each. Hmm.
I wonder though.
Typically some virii will change the filesizes (or dates/etc) of files to hide themselves.
So who knows if we can trust much of the dir info
She helped me out a lot in the SE++ Phalla so I figure I should vote her off in this one. My mother always taught me "no good deed ever goes unpunished."
But, seriously, I'm just throwing it there for now because Squashua's basically the only person I feel like voting for, but if I do that I'll just hear abloo abloo abloo for the next five days.

Edit: @ BL I noticed it, I ignored it though... voting for you is much more rewarding :^:
edit - that pic is awesome

Strong logic.

not that size matters?
:winky:
Of course there are multiple files of the same size... 704 bytes each. Hmm.
I said quite a big file there... not hey B:L is the biggest file lets get him.
Let's pick on the little guy.
I would guess Phalla size indicates the diverse public powers we have.
