So I made a fair number of changes. Mainly I had to merge two databases into one. Its an easy concept, but the way the split occured, no planning went into what would happen if we merged back together, and so we had a bunch of overlapping topics\posts. I fixed it all by hand coded queries (explaining the slowness). Now here is what is still broken \ I couldn't get working last night. There were a bunch of posts from H+R and I couldn't put them into the search engine. I figure they will probably prune soon, so it wont matter much anyway. I do plan on rebuilding those tables, but it wont be for a while. During the database merge I had to first clean both databases. 202643 posts and 11 topics were all broken as well as some private messages, users, and votes. If things are broekn, let me know here.

Curiouser and curiouser... It actually took me a moment to realize that 'Memorable Threads' is now 'Archives', so I feel a little silly.
ceres on
And it seems like all is dying, and would leave the world to mourn
LOL
I didn't even notice that. I wonder what I did.
somethin' probably reset them. I honestly don't know much about the code that goes into making a forum run, but from what I've seen it's a relatively simple task to forcefully alter their activation.
could be wrong, though. either way this is badass.

So, now that the chat forums have been re-integrated, what purpose does META serve?
Chatforum and ot-forums still have their own policies, mods, and issues. The Monkey Den is going to serve for general bug reports and on-topic issues. META will serve for chat issues.
Ecoterrorism is actually the single largest terrorist threat at the moment. They don't usually kill people, but they blow up or set on fire very expensive things.

See also, archive and chatlog.
The only problem I see is the chatmods going into OT territory and starting up another wave of asshattery. Granted, the current chatmods are for the most part more responsible than that, but it could still happen.

why the hell do you think the divide stopped that? It was just as easy to pull that sort of thing a week ago, and guess what? It didn't happen.

Wow.
I didn't even notice that. I wonder what I did.
the lack of sigs probably streamlines the forums a bit
andddd, that was an odd double post

And
?
LONG LIVE SE++
So is reopening of account registration waiting on the PHP3.0 upgrade?
Also, it seems that the keyword search function only works for posts made since the reboot last night. Is this intentional?
Seems now there is only
Though, um, it's visible even when you're actually in SE++, oddly enough

Yeah I said it.
Without sigs, there's just something missing.
I don't like it. At all.

You said it my friend. Oh man it's been too long.

Im glad you guys like the changes as well as the speed.

Also, why does the Chatlog have this : http://www.penny-arcade.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=171862
That's a G&T topic.
*cackle*
you deserve some kind of prize for being so stupid.
yeah, it is a lil odd having the monkey den at the top
Pantsmonkey made that thread in G&T, and Pants was a G&Ter until he got banned for whatever.
That ain't your thread.
