Cell phone contract coming up soon - can I switch the phone?

So my Cingular contract of two years is coming due this august. It's been ok but it's more than I need and I plan to switch over to tracfone (or some kind of prepaid). What I would like to know is: will Cingular warn me on which bill will be my last or will they just sign me up for a new contract? What are the steps to go through for terminating my contract? Also, how do I need to properly transfer my number over?

Also, I bought a Razr and it's been pretty nice to me and is still in good condition. I'd like to bring it over to tracfone with me if possible, is that a feasible option?

Once the time period is over for the contract, you are just not in that contract any more. They won't "sign you up" again, they'd need your signature for that. Basically, you can do whatever once that time period is over. They also won't stop billing you for service, as that is separate from the contract. You'll get billed at the same rate as always. It's up to you to cancel your account, if that's what you want to do.

"Damn you and your Daily Doubles, you brigand!"

I don't believe it - I'm on my THIRD PS3, and my FIRST XBOX360. What the heck?
