Okay, I currently own a PS3/360/Wii and I need good multiplayer games that are done locally.
On my Wii I have: (as far as multiplayer games)
Mario Party 8 (Wii)
Mario Golf (GCN)
Super Smash Bros: Melee (GCN)
Wii Sports (Duh)
Wii Play (Duh)
Rampage (Wii)
Mario Party 5 (GCN)
On my 360 I have: (as far as multiplayer games)
Gears of War
Perfect Dark: Zero
On my PS3 I have: (as far as any games)
Nothing (Just picked it up for $350)
Alright that's all I can think of right now. I'm pretty interested in 4 player, but 2 player is sufficient.
I was thinking Monster Madness: Battle in Suburbia(360), but it got "meh" reviews... I wasn't sure if it was a worthy purchase. Anyone play this game? I was also about to pick up Bomberman '93 on the VC, but I wanted a few opinions on that before I jump on that purchase.
Hopefully this will help other people out as well.
EDIT: I guess I'm writing this because I hold a "game night" at my house every friday night. And we're running low on fresh games to play.

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance is one of the greatest games I have ever played for multiplayer. Get it for whatever system you want.
Hits Live Arcade tomorrow morning. Should be a blast.
I'm sorry.
Wasn't there a buggy version floating around somewhere?
Man the XBLA version is 5 player local? News to me.
I don't know, but I've played it on X-box and 360. The 360 version is beautiful, and I had no problems with bugs, and it really was excellent for multiplayer.
Sweet, I might pick it up then. I'm sure I can find it cheap.
It should, my point is that '93 is FIVE player. FIVE. PLAYER.
Might be worth saving for Rock Band instead now though.
Battle.net: Fireflash#1425
Steam Friend code: 45386507
I know. Which is why I'm trying to decide which is worth my moneys.
Is there a demo out for Calling All Cars? I'd like to try it before I buy it. Just in case, you know?
Plus Live Vision Cam support, supposedly. Should be a laugh with some beerios.
Edit; beat'd.
Yeah, I might have the guys chip in 30 a piece if I did end up getting Rock Band. So I'm not stuck paying $199+ for a game.
Also: Wario Ware for the Wii is enjoyable both hot-swapping the controller in the single-player mode and actually using the multiplayer modes, although you have to run through the single-player once to unlock it (maybe 2-3 hours tops).
EDIT: IIRC, Heavy Weapon on the XBLA is also four-player local and it's a fucking blast to play, even single-player.
Hmmm........ That's tough then. I don't think I have 4 360 controllers, but if it's a blast... It might just be worth it.
Ah I have Wario Ware, and we played that game to death. No one wanted to give it a shot, so it was a friend and I switching through the game. Was fun as hell though...
Gauntlet: Dark Legacy
Pacman VS.
Waverace: Blue Storm
Mario Kart: Double Dash
Mario Power Tennis
Bomberman Live allows for you to take 4 local players online against 4 Live players.
This is confirmed in a dev interview. So you and your 3 buddies can be playing locally on your one 360 and go online against 4 others.

In the dev interview they did say they are aiming to make this the best Bomberman version ever ... and they are enthusiastic about providing add on maps down the road via the Marketplace)
Forgot to mention Double Dash.
Unfortunately Double Dash and Smash Bros won't be played much anymore... Since I completely dominate them each time. They kinda got sick of it. :P
How about Halo/Halo 2?
WarioWare: Smooth Moves I'd say is a must own, the multiplayer is great. Definitely my most played multiplayer Wii game.
Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance
Champions of Norrath
Champions of Norrath: Return to Arms
are all three worth playing.
Own it. But I don't think any of the guys will be up for PSO. I love the game, however.
We aren't big into Halo at all. So I guess that's out.
I'll try to get more people to at least give WarioWare a shot.
I'll think about GH2.
I loved all those hack 'n slash games, brought my ps2 up to a friends cottage and we did when it rained or we were just tired...so much fun...also as some input into this threa, ummm the Halo's are always fun, speacially 2's customization in multi-player. doom was a good co-op game for the reg xbox, not sure if its BC though.
