Folding at Home

I recently downloaded FaH for my PC, and I just finished my first work unit. I wasn't actually on the computer when the work unit finished. When I came back to my computer after the work unit had finished, the program had crashed with a message asking me to send an error report to Microsoft.

I'm worried that my results for the work unit didn't successfully get sent, because the program crashed. My user statistics page says I have completed one work unit (and got the points for the work unit), but the certificates say I have 0 points and 0 work units.

I don't really care about points, I just want to contribute to the FaH project. But, if my results are not actually getting sent back to the project, then I am just wasting electricity by running the program. So my question is, given the error message and inconsistent information from the website, how do I verify that my results actually got sent?

Are you a Folding Arcadian? We have a forum team, with a thread here.

I don't know the answer to your question, but someone in that thread probably will. You might be better off asking there.

I'm a member of team Penny Arcade. After looking around at others' statistics, it looks like certificates only keep track of major milestones (e.g. 100 work units or 10,000 points) and apparently my one work unit and 186 points do not reach any certificate milestone. That explains the discrepancy between my statistics page and my certificates. I still don't know why my program crashed, but it looks like my results were successfully submitted.

I'll keep folding. This thread can be locked.

Is there a PA group for LHC@home (Large Hadron Collider?)
