Steam pipe burst at Grand Central

My dad just called from Grand Central, apparently he just saw a huge pipe burst or explosion and had to be evacuated, he said he was on the street and then his phone cut out. Anyone know what's going on?

Edit: Stuff's on TV, gonna go watch

    Apparently a building collapsed, or so MSNBC says that. FARK.com has a cell phone video of the aftermath...too much smoke to see much of anything.

    UPDATE:
    Fire and emergency crews responded to the scene of a suspected transformer explosion in Manhattan on Wednesday during the evening rush hour, officials said. The explosion occurred at 43st Street and Lexington Avenue. 4, 5 and 6 trains are bypassing Grand Central Station.

    Steam is used to heat the building, I imagine.

    In any case, they're saying that it doesn't look like there was any foul play involved, so I guess this whole thing isn't such a huge deal, although they are probably not going to open the station for a while :V

    Then I got pissed that all the channels were showing footage fo steam and mud coming out of lexington av, but then I found the law and order marathon on tnt, and all was good with the world.
