I bought HORI fighting stick 2 for PS2 (actually 2 of em). These sticks are more or less sub-optimal, but to the point.. The other one works fine, but the other one keeps vibrating slightly occasionally even when vibration is turned off. I tried to change it for a new one, but of course the guys at the shop tested it for 2 mins and during that time the stick happened to work fine with my luck.. they said only "no change" and some random chinese and gave the stick back. Useless. No more into that shop ever again.
Now I´m too lazy to learn chinese, but is there a possibility to actually remove the vibration manually? Like cut the wires or something? Im afraid that the whole stick will burn with infernal fire if I rip out the vibrating motor or cut the wires. To be honest, I dont´t even understand why they had to put stuff like vibration to arcade-style sticks anyway..
Stick is tested with 2 games. SF anniversary collection and Everblue. All the buttons, everything, work - but the friggin vibration is there.
I've built a few Arcade sticks of my own and I have a couple of Hori Sticks (the Tekken 5 one). I'll be honest I don't know enough about the Hori Fighting Stick on the inside to tell you what to do one way or the other. I want to say you can cut the wires to the rumble motors and that should take care of it.
Your best bet would be to head over to www.shoryuken.com , go to the Forums, Register an account, and post this problem in the Tech Talk Forum. All the guys there know their stuff on every stick ever made. They might have a better solution for you than to cutting the wires.
