The itching, burning and icky scaling that comes with athletes foot has been bothering me for the longest time now. I'd guess around a year and a half. I've tried various creams and powders. The symptoms go away for a week or two and then come back. Am I missing something? Do I need to disinfect my shower? Throw out all my socks and get new ones? New shoes?
You need to use an antifungal cream (Lamisil) for at least 30 days, without missing one day, if you miss it one day, repeat from the start.
Wash your socks, and dry them in the sunlight, do the same with your tennis.

Hear my warnings, unbelievers. We have raised altars in this land so that we may sacrifice you to our gods. There is no hope in opposing the inevitable. Put down your arms, unbelievers, and bow before the forces of Chaos!
By the way, another good cream, and less expensive is called Fluconazole.

Wash your feet frequently, making sure that you dry thoroughly and as said, use an antifungal cream or powder and make sure that you stick to the routine.

Switch/remove your socks after whatever activity you are doing. Wet feet are what help keep Athlete's Foot going.
Also, make sure your shoes are not too tight; this can spread athletes foot too.
And as usual, don't scratch or apply excessive heat to the feet (as in really hot water in the shower)

Really, was that so hard?
