Despite how everything after Alien 3 has been shit, I would still pay good money to see Alien 5.
I remember seeing Resurrection (because it was the first of the series I actually got to see in a theater). It was still fun, but....in a retarded stepchild of the originals way.
i have a director's cut of Bladerunner on dvd, which i still haven't watched yet. Already saw the film on tv some years ago, but just never got around to watching my own copy. Beside that, i'm a huge fan of Mr K. Dick's writings.
But it's a horrible action flick and probably the worst sci-fi/horror film ever made ever.
Well good thing that it's a comedy and not either of those other things then huh?
The thing about that director: he always says he's doing parody, right? Biting social commentary? Then it just turns put it's a cover for him to wallow in ugly stupid shit. The man isn't smart enough for parody.
they made direct to video sequel, I never saw it because someone photoshopped a cover so bad the dude's head looked... well I dunno google it or something you'll see what I mean.

I didnt say she wasn't hot. I said the chick who played Dizzy was pretty hot in an attainable way, unlike Denise Richards (implying she is hot, but in an unattainable way)
Starship Troopers is a good movie and all, but I swear that is in spite of Casper Van Dien and Denise Richards' performances.
So what are the good things? Other than bugs and guns.
I am open to persuasion.
I'm sure I'm looking at it too superficially, but to me it was a fun little popcorn flick with a... maybe not novel, but certainly interesting and well-enough-developed vision of the future.
Also co-ed showers. I remember liking that a lot when the movie first came out.

Right before I went off to basic for infantry, Starship Troopers came out, and I watched a bunch of older war movies then troopers, shaved my head, went off to boot, got a weekend break after 8 weeks when Private Ryan was out, went to see that and I was all no I don't want to get brutally slaughtered by machine guns

I remember wanting to see Denise Richards' tits so badly that when it didn't deliver I lost all direction in my life.
Then I discovered Wild Things and the world righted itself again and I became the well adjusted man you see before you.

- Mildly interesting vision of the future
- Doogie Howser
- Giant, fast, violent bugs
- Violence
- Guns and more gratuitous violence
- Naked chicks in co-ed showers
- Jake Busey
- Michael Ironside
- The dickhead pilot gets his brain sucked out of his head

yeah some of them are a little retarded, but in the end, all I care about seeing at this point is xenomorphs tearing living things to shreds.
In fact of all the Alien / Predator / AvP movies the only one I find truly bad is Predator 2.
Best calculus teacher ever.
I already made that reference, you fucker!
He makes me want to go antiquing in Connecticut.
if that's what you were implying?
edit: there are no differences are there
What the hell?
May be NSFW, but just because of a little cleavage.
No, it "bears repeating"
I want some damn Blade Runner info!
There will never be new Blade Runner info.
And the powers that be might just start a program to eliminate all existing copies of it, because that is the way they are.

So whatever it is you're doing-- stop it.
HA HA HA
ISN'T THAT CLEVER AND ALSO MAKES YOU THINK.
ALSO: FASCISM AND PRETTY YOUNG PEOPLE WHO ARE BAD ACTORS.
I GUESS THAT'S INTERESTING.
EVEN THOUGH WE NEVER DID ANYTHING WITH IT.
(My take.)
Blade Runner! Or The Godfather.
Now... go!

I'm almost always pretty much right most of the time.
SST = awesome
Battlefield Earth = the real worst sci-fi ever made. Even worse than Plan 9 or Star Trek 5.....
