I am looking into getting a new camera. I have a Kodak Easyshare (I think it's like, a D7740 or something...at any rate, it's discontinued). I bought it two years ago, and it basically doesn't work anymore. Sooo...what is the best camera to get? I'm looking for point-and-shoot, nothing too fancy. I'm willing to spend up to $400 on it. Suggestions?

    I'm a big Canon buff. Check out any of the Powershot line, and check this thread for the last request for camera suggestions. Looks like you've got a bigger budget, but all of the advice is spot on:
