I have an account with PC Financial. As of yesterday morning I had $134.17 in the account. I debitted a $10 gift card from Chapters, and bought a $20something laptop screen cleaning liquid from BestBuy (also on interac.)
When I got home I logged into my bank account online to check my balance, and it had "Unavailable at this time" written accross my balance areas. This continued all night, and I just woke up to see if it had changed, and it now says $124.17. So I decide to check the transaction records, the $10 gift card is listed under today's transactions (listed as the 23rd, despite happening on the 22nd) and the BestBuy purchase is nowhere to be found.
My question is are they likely to fix this? (I realise it's just $20, but I owe someone the other $100 so it'd be nice to have a little money for the week) How long do you reckon before I can deem it "their mistake" and feel safe in that they aren't going to take the money?
Sounds like they're having problems with the system if you're getting the "Unavailable at this time" and are experiencing a backlog of the transactions, possibly.
They'll correct it, it's happened to me a bunch of times using PC and Royal Bank.

It can take a couple of days for a transaction to show up. It also sounds like they might be doing maintenance on the system.
lol, im definately not worried, I mean, if it doesnt go through then free overpriced screen cleaning liquid for me, if it does, then I paid for what I wanted and it's all fine.
Just for future reference I wouldn't write anything off as never going to go through your account until it's been at least a year. I have US Bank. I'm constantly having stuff go through a month or even two months after I spent the money. I've heard horror stories of transactions going through up to twelve months after the money was spent.

Give them a call if you're really worried.
