Hit gamestation tomorrow for one special internet only deal every hour starting at 9.00am.
Damn library is blocking the site, so I shall unfortunately be unable to buy anything, although that's probaby good because it means I will be able to afford to both eat and pay rent this month.
Bit of a summary of cheap stuff/stuff that ISN'T Pirates of the Carribean:
Fear for PS3 isn't bad at £19.99
Virtua Fighter 5 at £24.99.
If you're after a cheap Blu-Ray disc then Fantastic Four is ok for £4.99, dreadful film though.
You can also buy what I at first thought was Lipstick but turns out to be a Mace Windu Fx Saber for £39.99
C&C 3 for the 360 at £24.99

I thought Gamestation were gone now? Or is GAME just being slow to rebrand? I suppose it did take them years to finally erase the last of the Electronic Boutique's from every small town dingy shopping centre.

they've been bought, but not being re-branded i think. I guess GAME's going to focus more on selling new games, and Gamestation working on selling pre-owned stuff or whatever. I'm guessing, but that would seem to make sense.
From what the manager of the GAME store near me that interviewed me for a job the other week (and didn't give it to me, bastard) GAME plans to keep Gamestation exactly as it is for the near future, any changes will just be made on the supply side of things (monopolies olol), and customers shouldn't see a difference.

was the job the same as i was offered, about 12 hours a week? Better off without it anyway, yo.

New store opening in Teeside park? that was the one I was going for anyway.
Better of without it? tell that to my overdraught/unpaid rent...
Damn you Thatcher, there are no jobs in the north east...

nah, i interviewed down in Truro last summer, they offered 12 hours a week at about £5 an hour. I suppose it'd help with uni costs, but there's gotta be much better out there.

Truro is a pretty small town right? you know a guy called Phil Gill?
Sadly, there really isn't anything out there, there are 3 types of jobs available -
1. Jobs which I have a strong specific moral objection to - I got a job working for a firm who makes money knocking on peoples doors (most of these people are unemployed, retired or single parents) and guilt trip them into signing up for charity direct debit payments, I quit after day 1. Also in this category are Gambling shops.
2. Jobs which I am underqualified for, either you need to drive or have specific experiance for.
3. Jobs which I am overqualified for, they don't want to hire someone that has any aspirations (which they decide I am since I am at uni) whatsover, when they have people who will do the same job and not want to move for over 10 years. Pretty much any shop job.
If my blog hadn't been less succesful in the past, and my parents were less generoous, I would be screwed right now
yeah, i know how that is. I graduated and am now doing data entry! I was only down in cornwall for a couple of months, staying with my sister, and because i didn't find anything down there i came back home. It's a shame really, i would've actually liked to work in a place like GAME or Gamestation, since it's a part of an industry i'm actually interested in.
Getting back on topic, that Gamestation sale was a bit of a let-down in the end. I like the way they did it, a new offer every hour and that, but nothing really stood out to me. I don't own a PSP or PS3, and i don't want Pirates of the Carribean. It just seemed more like a stock-clearance effort than anything else (which i guess is all a sale is, but still). I prefer GS for in-store pre-owned titles anyway, that's where the real bargains lie.

yes, in this sale we can hope to get games, close to, or even at their USA prices.
Lucky us.
but i meant i haven't seen a sale like this in us.
I suggest you run now, before the vast majority of us European-ites descend upon you.
