My laptop monitor, which I've had replaced once after an unfortunate accident, has recently started acting up. There seems to be a loss of color/resolution on one side of the screen, which dissipates when i apply light pressure to the back. If I move the screen at all, the picture distorts like an old TV set. Resetting the computer provided a temporary fix. Please help!
It sounds like they didn't do it right, or that there were problems other than what was obvious. Was the accident dropping it?

The original accident was kneeling on it, since it had somehow ended up on a bed under a sheet
Is this something I might be able to fix by, say, taking the monitor apart and jiggling something? Also, the screen does not fuck up all the time, and when it does it stops when i put pressure on the left side on the back, and the right top corner, so it's like I'm about to start twisting the monitor out of rage. And grief. Just moved into a new apartment this weekend, and one of our saintly neighbors has a REALLY fast unsecured line.

Again, thanks for all the advice.
