I'm currently trying to get ending A and I want to check if i'm on the right track.

BTW I'm playing the original PS1 version on normal mode.

My seal rate is currently 15 and my evaluation rating 98.

What I did so far that affect the ending/seal rating, in the order I did it

Chapter 1
Sent Llewyn to Asgard
Kept the ring during the sacred phase

Chapter 2
Sent Belenus to Asgard
Kept the ring during the sacred phase

Chapter 3
Saw the scene w/ Lucian and Claire in Gerabellum (I'm well aware I should had waited till chapter 4 to do this but I realised my mistake too late)
Sent Janus to Asgard
Kept the ring during the sacred phase

Chapter 4
Sent Kashell to Asgard
Went to wipping lilly meadows
Completed Lezard Valeth's tower
Met Brahms in his castle, chose not to fight him
Took off the ring during the sacred phase

Chapter 5
Recruited Mystina
Recruited Lucian

I sent no one up in this chapter so far, I didnt put the ring back on and that's where I stand at this moment

I know I have to sent Lucian up before the end of chapter 6 to get the A ending. Is they're something else i'm forgetting?

BTW what seal value do you need to have? I've read below 30 and below 37.. that 7 points could do a big difference.. Right now i'm at 15 but sending Lucian up to Asgard will put me up at 27.. Sending another person would put me at 39, then the abscence of ring will put me back at 37 during the 5-6 sacred phase..

Damn I really shouldnt have gone to Gerabellum in chapter 3, I could be at 0 Seal Rating without this.

I think you're on the right track. Although, I remember being around 37 and for some reason still proceding with the standard ending. It's probably worth checking out a few walkthroughs at GameFAQs first.

As much as I hate to suggest it, for this sort of thing you really need GameFAQs. In fact, this would be a PRIME EXAMPLE of when to use GameFAQs.

I did use GFAQs.. some FAQS say you need a value of 30, some others a value of 37.. thats why I'm a bit confused here

Below 37, Beat Lezard, Recruited Mystina, Released Lucian.

Those are the only requirements in the PS1 version.

I believe "Captain K" wrote the best walkthrough, and it's probably the only one you should use. Not our Captain K, but I did ask him that question once. He said it wasn't the same Captain K.

Anyways, use that one.

The thing that people usually fuck up is not actually finishing Lezard's Tower. If you exit it at ANY TIME after the scene with the Einherjar whose-her-face and before beating Lezard, you miss his events and close off that path.

All this is irrelevant though because you should just go for the B Ending anyway and restart on Hard Mode so you can actually enjoy the Seraphic Gate and get to use the fun stuff in there.

I love this game, I have the original play station version, bought it the day it came out and now its worth more than a coulpe Ps3s. Sorry to not answer the OP cause I dont remember here at work, I'd say go check out gamefaqs.com, they can probably help you.

Thank you for the recomandation Sinister, but I already completed it. The awesomeness of that game is what pushed me to replay the original after it spent so many years being lonely on my shelve.

Also I got the scene with Lucian/Loki right at the beggining of chapter 7. Now I can do what I want right, my seal rating doesnt matter anymore and i'm in the clear to get A ending, eh?
