I managed to find a really cool bow that does 20 extra magical damage (I forget which type) on every hit as well as lowering resistance to that type, called Arce Quinga. The only problem is that it's in a display case in a Fighters Guild hall. One of my mods rejigs looting rights in guild halls to be based on your rank, but considering how snazzy the bow is, I may very well need to be guild leader before I can take it.

which one is that by the way? Which town?

Leyawiin. Hopefully it isn't a random spawn that I'll never see again.

Steal it. Use it to fight your way out if you have to. The Fighter's Guild is a load of crap anyway.

Agreed. The end was somewhat interesting but it wasn't worth the whole quest line.

I'm also doing the Thieves guild stuff right now, too, which is exactly why I don't want to just steal the bow. A weapon that could disappear from my inventory at any time and be moved to a heavily trapped chest is not a good weapon.

I've never tried it myself. Don't know if that does the trick.

One thought I have for you is you could swipe it, then buy that shack on the Imperial City waterfront. You ought to be able to sneak in there and stash the bow there whenever the heat is on, so to speak.

Oh, and speaking of crap questlines, for the Mages Guild recommendation in Leyawiin, I need to go through a dungeon filled with mauraders, which are pretty nasty in OOO. I can Weak Fireball kite two normal mauraders to death and can barely outdamage a maurader battlemage's healing if the positioning is right, but any more than that and I'm screwed. The worst part is that there's a door that requires a key, so I can't even just dash and grab the item like I did with the Eye of Nocturnal.

I did manage to take out a maurader instantly by luring him onto a trap and then triggering it, which felt good.

I´m pretty sure that bow is part of OOO, so it shouldn´t be a part of any quest. At least it´s name fits with the rest of the Aeylid meteoric weapons.

Hey, so now that I've got a 7600GT instead of the good ol' Radeon 9600 Pro (surprisingly still the third most popular graphics card among gamers, according to the Steam survey), and can actually play Oblivion well, what mods (other than OOO) are vital?

You have to go to one of the offices in the Market District and you'll be able to purchase that shack. I don't remember the exact name though... Office of Commerce or something like that? Anyway, it's right inside the main plaza with all of the other shops--won't be too hard to find.

I can't believe I never thought of this, I just tried it and yes it does work. It is to expensive though I sold a Warhammer for 20 gold and had to buy it back for 250 gold. D:

How does Oblivion run on 360? I have it on PC, but my computer sucks and doesn't want to run it well despite being pretty good. I'm considering buying it again but I don't want to if it has trouble running above 30fps when the shit starts to fly or in a complex wilderness setting.

Define lots of loading.... like, 10 seconds average per load? Or 20+ seconds?

The weapon is almost certainly absurdly expensive, though, considering its high base damage and really nice enchantment. There's no way I could afford to buy it back at my point in the game, as I'm still only level 5. I'll probably just have to admit that the weapon isn't for me.

My character is optimized for dash and grabs so always resisting arrest and fleeing would be viable, but I really don't want to be doing that all the time. Also, is it actually possible to repair/recharge stolen weapons through NPCs?

If anyone happens to be looking for a bunch of grand soul gems, I found a good way to get four of them at once.
Once you finish the brothers questline in Chorral and have escorted them to the farm, return to town later and there will be a dark elf looking for an artifact that the ogres had stolen. Return the item to the castle and then talk to Guilbert, and he'll give you four grand soul gems. I don't know what he gives you if you give the item to the dark elf.
