So because of my writing I tend to spend a lot of time sitting in front of my computer. The thing is that the chair I'm using is one that they gave me for free when I bought my computer desk off craigslist, and it's killing my ass and back. I'm looking for recommendations for a comfortable chair, around the 80-150 range. A look at Office Depot website showed way to many options.
I have a sealy posturepedic chair that I got from Office Depot, it's a really nice chair, fully adjustable. Unfortunately when I got home with it, I couldn't seem to find the same model online anywhere, or I'd give you a link.
Your best bet is to actually go to the stores and look around, sit in the different chairs to see how they feel.
I went in to Office Depot/Staples and their chairs were all pretty ridiculously priced. The ones around $100 were all cheap plastic, very little support/foam. I ended up getting a pretty nice chair at costco, lots of support, decent build and the price was only $100. The air grid chairs are overpriced in my opinion but they feel decent and many people seem to like them. I don't see the model I have on their website.
You could also find some office outlet stores, they usually have decent deals. If you are just looking for something cheap, check slickdeals.net or fatwallet.com they sometimes have "executive leather (cheap)" chairs for 50 or so.

My roommate has this chair http://peripherals.about.com/od/modemsotherperipherals1/fr/akoctane.htm. It's really quite sweet, has roller blade wheels, and is really comfortable. He got it from Best Buy when they had a sale, and was in your price range about half a year ago, but right now it's back up to $150, =/
if you're having back/butt problems from office chair sitting you might try a chair like one of these: http://www.sitincomfort.com/kneechairs.html (there are many different style of these, this is not a recommendation to buy from here, they just have pictures of what I'm talking about).
I do not know if there are long term health/posture issues that might result from relocating these pressures more towards your knees, but it sure does feel better than a traditional office chair.
also, out of OP price range but this chair is awesome: http://www.swopper.com/
it's like sitting on an exclamation point. :P

I have this chair and oh my God it is the best office chair I have ever had. I've owned it for over two years now and it is still crazy comfortable. The wood is real and is still in good shape and the leather is very nice. I've never treated it or cleaned it and it still looks amazing. It has excellent lumbar support and it leans back nicely. Don't get one from that website 'cause they'll rape you but look around. Seriously fucking awesome chair. 10 yr warranty as well. I absolutely adore it.
