Tell me what I've been missing

Just so you know this is a Nintendo topic. I'm just stating that to save some people time if they have no interest.

Basically heres my problem. I've been pretty busy lately with projects and classes. I own a Wii and DS but I haven't bought any new games for either since Final Fantasy III DS and Wario Ware: Smooth Moves. Can you guys help me out and tell me some games worth buying I've been missing out on for each? I'd rather get opinions from you guys than sifting through reviews which may or may not be fair or accurate.

. Seriously, my DS has small indentation marks on the bottom screen in a strangely checkerboard pattern. These indentations were put there after I wore motherfucking holes in my screen protector. Beware this game.

I highly recommend this game but BEWARE, it's a pokemon tier timesink and has no in game clock so you can't monitor how much of your soul its devouring.

I'm like, 1/3 through and have probably put 2,000+ hours into it. And you don't even have to collect anything! And are discouraged from doing so!

For Wii, there's Zelda TP, Resident Evil 4, Super Paper Mario, Trauma Center, SSX Blur, Metal Slug Anth. There is also Excite Truck, Elebits, Sonic Secret Rings if those types of games appeal to you. Godfather and Scarface are both good if the subject material appeals to you. In the near future there'll be Mario Strikers, Mercury meltdown, Metroid Prime 3. Alien Syndrome just hit, but I don't know how good it is. Shortly there will be Mario Galaxy and eventually Smash Bros Brawl.

I don't know what games you currently own, but those are all good.

For DS, there's a bunch of stuff. Planet Puzzle League comes to mind.

I'm playing Super Paper Mario right now, and it's pretty good. If you like the sound of a platformer with RPG elements, be sure to pick that up.

As mentioned above, next month with see the release of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.

    -Lunar Knights
-Heroes of Mana comes out August.
-FF12 Revenant wings comes out November I think.

Lunar Knights does have it's flaws, but it's an overall entertaining game. If you liked Boktai but hated the "i have to go charge it in the sun!?" aspect, you'll love this game.

Super Paper Mario for Wii isn't as amazing as I hoped it would be, but it's definitely a good game worth your time and money.

I'm conflicted about Super Paper Mario. Even though the addition of the helper characters and 2.5D make the gameplay interesting, the later levels start to get a bit repetitive, and in general it's way too easy. The writing is incredible, on par with the other paper mario games.

RE4 is great, even if you've played it on the GC. And it's only $30.

Brodo, your description of Puzzle Quest is exactly why I love it. :D

Oh, and Etrian Odyssey... so good, but you will hate yourself because of how much time you spend playing it.

Hahaha, I know a guy who bought a lamp to do the sun charging thing in Boktai so he wouldn't have to go outside.

i didnt think i would like puzzle quest because i dont really like puzzle games. but i really liked it. i was just on a back to back business trip to virginia then a vacation to maryland so i havent played it since june. im a little afraid to get back in to it, its so engrossing.

what i liked about it was the depth of what you could do (mounts, captives, seiges engines), and the puzzle battles - something about the skulls killing hit points, made it all right for me. it was hostile puzzling.

    Fixed that up for you.

Also, I have heard great things about Mario Strikers, out in NA this month. And Picross DS, a fantastic puzzle game, comes out soon as well.

    I currently own

DS: Jump Superstars, Bleach DS, Nintendogs, Advance Wars: Dual Strike, Animal Crossing, New SMB, Lost Magic, Sonic Rush, Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, Viewtiful Joe: Double Trouble, MegaMan ZX, and Final Fantasy III

Thanks for the suggestions. These are the ones that have my interest, now: RE4Wii, Elebits, Mario Strikers: Charged, Metroid Prime 3, Puzzle Quest, and Planet Puzzle League. :)

2,000 hours is just shy of 3 months of 24-hours-per-day gaming.

I think that South Korea has proven to us that the most anybody can do of 24-hour gaming is about 3 days, then you get up to go to the bathroom and die from a blood clot.

Anyhow ... Super Mario Strikers came out yesterday ... I'm probably going to pick it up this weekend. Grab a copy as I'm sure we'll probably all start swapping friend codes here soon.

Also, pick up Excite Truck, it rocks. At this point it should be almost as mandatory as Wii Sports.

Oh shit, I forgot, if you like rhythm games, Elite Beat Agents and the Ouendan games for DS are mandatory. (I'd recommend EBA even if you don't generally like them. It's a lot of fun.) Ouendan 1 and 2 have to be imported, but they're well worth it.

Also, I notice you don't have Trauma Center on there. Get it for Wii, as long as you like puzzle-type games. It's really fantastic.

Actually I've been looking at Oudendan 2. I knew a few people at my university who had the first one. Certain DS Imports seem like pretty good investments. :)

Awesome! I think Yesasia is still doing a sale for US buyers. All stuff is $5 off, and if you use the coupon code "US", you get an extra $5 off. At least, that's how it was a couple of weeks ago.

Also, you ought to play Ouendan 1 before 2. 2 has some little gameplay improvements you'd miss in 1.
