The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
Co-Written by Neil Gaiman, Directed by Robert Zemeckis and a cast that includes Anthony Hopkins, Angelina Jolie, John Malkovich and Crispin Glover as Grendel.
If you don't know the story of Beowulf go wiki it or something, I'm not explaining it here.
Yeah I really really don't get his fetish for the computer-generated actors. They look decent but still, why NOT just have the real actors and then CG effects/monsters on top? Meh.

Because a cast of CG Actors makes the movie somewhat unique and allows it to stand out in the crowd?

I'd prefer it if good acting and a good story line would make it stand out from the crowd.

That would be pretty unique now-a-days.
Well it looks like it will have that too. So, Merry Christmas.

i was like "this looks kind of fake, but maybe it's just a bad quality trailer"
and then it started naming the actors and i was like "holy fuck this is all CG."

Or the "omg CGI!" will detract from a movie that would otherwise be notable for its good acting and storyline.
I thought Polar Express was fucking creepy, though, so that might be part of why I can't get into this one's style either, even though it looks a lot better.

God I've been looking forward to this for so long but I haven't been keeping up or anything.
Sky Captain, The Good Shepherd, (Hey, I liked it.) Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
Didn't see the Good Shepherd but those other two were fucking shit.
Sky Captain? Are you kidding?
Gia was pretty good. The critics seemed to like Girl, Interrupted. The Gone is Sixty Seconds remake was dumb fun, but she was only in it for, like, 20 minutes.

maybe i'll rent this movie...or something
The saturation was turned way up on some of those shots.
and shiny
It's 100% Computer Generated.
EDIT: Well, it was mo-capped of course, and it's actually going to be released in an un-CG'd format sometime using the footage they shot.
well shit.
note: Yes, I realize they're different, but man, who doesn't love that bit?
They filmed everything and then went to town with the computers.
What a weird direction to take the movie in.

but even then, the eyes
CG artists still can't get the eyes right
Has Angelina Jolie ever been in a good movie?
My boyfriend sat me down once to see Mr. and Mrs. Smith because he thought it was a truly romantic movie.
So I figured if I dressed up in leather and killed some people that would appease him.
Apparently not. What a finicky man!

It was old-school pulpy sci-fi, which I love.

Many considered Girl Interrupted to be a "good" movie. I think that's it though.
Edit: DAMN IT. That's what I get for going to check whether I was forgetting something.
