Right now I am imagining how a fight against your team might go, RedMage.

By the next time another tournament rolls around things should be much better. I am just viewing this one as a learning experience more than anything. If you ever want to battle just ask.

Wow, I just got my 2nd badge. All my pokemans were down but some random chatot i had traded for. Awesomely he was able to slay the gym leader's last pokeman and gained a whopping 8 lvls instantly!
I just found out my favorite pokemon is unable to be found in pearl!! Is there a way that I can trade someone for a scyther? I don't have much as I'm just starting out, but I'd like to play through with him like I did in Red back in the day.

Man Dave maybe you should reconsider your team a little, squeeze a flyer in somewhere.
I don't think anyone but Umbreon could stand up to a STAB Earthquake.
Scizor should be able to. Also, I'm taking some pretty huge gambles theory-wise, obviously, but I'm thinking it'll pay off in practice, weaksauce as the team looks. Win or lose I should make for some pretty interesting fights.
