Printer won't share with laptop

Ok, my HP PSC2355 shares fine with my sisters old sony laptop. But, for some reason, my mums new one won't find it at all.
The only difference is my mums laptop is using MCE and the other two are using home. A look on the internet basically just yeilded results of 'make sure it's shared LOLZ' which really hasn't helped. Any ideas?

How are you trying to connect to the printer share? Just by searching the network with the printer install wizard, or have you tried manually finding the computer and share?
