Multiplayer PSP action

I've been reading through the forms for a while now and anytime I see the words multiplayer handhelds used in a sentence, DS is always attached to it. Now certainly all PAX goers that are bringing handhelds can't all be bringing DSes. Is anyone bringing their psp? If so, what games?

    Seriously though, there will be a few, they are just going to be a lot harder to find. I walked by the handheld lounge multiple times last year to see ZERO psp players. Now that wasn't always the case, but it was the case several times during the day. There were PSP guys there, they just are far and few between now. I guess it must be a known PAX thing that it's a DS crowd mostly.

    I certainly feel like the DS offers the better multiplayer experience myself.

    But yeah, bring it, there will be people.

    Only multiplayer game on the PSP that I like to play is Lumines and I used to be able to beat my friends with the PSP held upside down last time I took multiplayer Lumines seriously.

    Oh, yeah, I forgot, Lumines is cool, but I haven't cared about it since I got it on Xbox Live.

    The only way to have a PSP at PAX and look cool. Otherwise you look like that guy in the second post.

    It doesn't weigh a lot does it? You might as well bring it. You can at least play it solo in line or something.

    Do you not have a DS? Did you choose to buy a PSP instead?

    Of course i do, thats why i was wondering if i should bother brining my psp lol

    LOL, if you have a DS, then no! :) There is ALWAYS people playing DS the entire conference (which is awesome). I've rarely jumped into Pictochat without seeing somebody else in there.

    I will have my friend's PSP with me. I am going to use it mainly for posting things to teh Internets while I am at PAX. I may try out a few games while on my plane though.

    Just to support the cause: I too will be bringing my PSP.

    I think I saw 4 others last year. Maybe this year we'll have enough to play a good game of Battlefront.

    I would also like to show my support for the poor PSP community out there. Ill be rockin the Gitaroo Man definately. As well as other games.

    One thing I've noticed on this board about everyone who loves video games and is all about community, if anyone ever brings up a PSP they are completely trounced on for being lame... Kind of dissapointing really.

    We're not trouncing people for being lame because they own a PSP, well except maybe with that picture, but that's besides the point. The question was about multiplayer PSP action and there's little of that going on in comparison to the DS action simply because about 90% of the PAX-going crowd owns a DS.

    I'll be bringing my PSP - with some Puzzle Quest - Worms - Guilty Gear - and any other ISO I can fit on my laptop to swap out with.
    My girl and I will have em' - look for *this* guy....

    I too will be rocking my psp as I did last year when no one would play with me except grand theft auto at the pre-pax dinner...

    I'm going to sit in pictochat drawing squares, triangles, x's and circles until I find someone to play PSP with.

    If 90% of PAX attendees will have DS's that implies 10% either have PSP's or neither. How many do you think have both?

    This might single me out but I bought my PSP over a year before getting a DS. I only bought the DS for PAX last year.

    I've had my psp since it was brought out in the UK, and my DS only a few months ago, so i might still bring my psp , anyone bringing monter hunter?

    I totally forgot about Guilty Gear!

    I can't wait to get beaten to a pulp in that! Though I will have my DS as well for some bad ass Mario Kart action. If only I had four hands and four eyes... Then I would have the best of both worlds at all times!

    ISO? Isn't that an illegal copy of a game? Or do you own the game and this is a "backup" ;-)

    I will have my PSP won't have anything expect both Lumines games but I will still bring for no better reason then PAX is the only place to find some decent competition. Better start practicing holding my PSP upside down again.
    Not joking if I do kick your butt in under a minute I will hold it upside down for round 2 as a handicap

    I got a DS that will probably be used 90% of the time I got a handheld out. You can borrow my PSP though Trillian.

    I'm probably going to be rocking both. Although the only multi-player game I have for the PSP is Puzzle Quest. I was mainly just going to try squeezing in some quality time on Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth and/or Tales of the World whilst waiting in lines, don't know if I'll break out the PSP in the multi-player lounge or not.

    For the record, I have both a PSP & a DS Lite. Why no love for "Wipeout Pure"? 2 years ago at PAX, my friend & I expected some hardcore Wipeout Pure multiplayer, but instead found 2 people who both kind of sucked. Last year, nobody. As for this year, I'll be bringing both, but I expect it will be much like last year where the wireless signals were so jammed that nothing worked right.
