Point me to the thread about this if there is one,If not.
I'm moving into my grandma's house for awhile (thats a whole 'nother can of worms though)And I cant bring my 30 inch SD TV.So I want to hook my 360 up to my 17 inch monitor. The question is if I'll get a better picture and overall experience out of my monitor instead of my grandma's crappy old TV.It would also be nice if you guys could post your experience's with cables.
My Monitor
Sorry for any spelling errors or anything and thanks.
P.S. I cant really find any better pictures of my monitor.
Well, it is a tradeoff. On one hand the picture will be incredibly sharp, you'll be able to see every detail just like you could with a computer game. On the other hand, you will have to sit very, very very close to the screen and the monitor is kind of small. If her TV is that old and crappy, though, I would definitely go with the monitor, because although it loses some impact because it's not a large monitor picture clarity is pretty important too.
Yeah, with the computer monitor you'll be able to run 360 games in high definition, so I'd say go for the VGA cable. The tradeoff is worth it so much over a crappy TV.

You want to go with the best connection your monitor has. Take Component or DVI over VGA. Also, make sure that you deal with resolutions right. 360 games are made for television resolutions and usually only have one res for standard tvs and one for widescreen.

DVI would be difficult to do without an Elite, unless he wants to convert the signal which I would think might slightly degrade the quality. Also, the VGA cable does allow for several computer monitor resolutions to be used, not just the standard HD resolutions.
