After looking up pictures of Ray Stevenson I withdraw my comment, he looks nothing like Steven Segal. I will say though, he does a bit in that Punisher pic, if only because of the hair.

Lenses work in comics because you can change the shape of the eyes at will to show emotion. Yeah yeah, I know people will go "ololz makeup" but it's the best way to go for a live action movie. The best workaround for those who just can't get over a movie Batman with pupils would be white contact lenses, which worked in..surprise surprise..Dead End.
On another note, the Dark Knight Batsuit will supposedly feature lenses at some point in the film, a la the "sonar lenses" from Batman Forever.

i dig the new outfit. i don't really care how visible the symbol is, the cape/cowl silhouette is iconic enough to be the batsuit. ideally, my favorite batman design is the alex ross one or bruce timm's new batman adventures suitl; but something like that couldn't work with a movie like this, and that's pretty obvious.

They can make talking dragons, trolls, men fly, alien worlds, giant monsters, starship battles but they cant make "lensed eyes" work in a movie superhero movie

And who cares if you can tell who is in the suit, I mean isn't that the point of a costume to DISGUISE who is in the suit. Now I'm not saying that he has to have them all the time BUT picture the scene from the Batman begins where he rescues "Joey" in the subway tunnel. He beats up the thugs behind her and then she turns around and he is standing there . Imagine if they had him TOTALLY in silhouette and then had the just white eyes. She freaks and fires the tazer at him,and just like before it hits him and the electricity sparks, lights up his chest, bat-symbol and face and then he slaps it away and goes back to silhouette with just the glowing white eyes. Or any scene where he is in the shadows thug turns around and behind him we see the glowing eyes appear in the darkness.
Can you honestly say that wouldn't be cool to see?
And ok, I'm sure Ill get flak over this, but Daredevil had a lensed cowl. It worked fine in the movie. NOW the Daredevil movie overall... well thats thats a totally different topic.
