And ok, I'm sure Ill get flak over this, but Daredevil had a lensed cowl. It worked fine in the movie. NOW the Daredevil movie overall... well thats thats a totally different topic.

The eyes are the windows to the soul.

And we all know blind people don't have souls.

    So there you go.

Have they released any details on the next Superman movie?

I only recently got around to watching Returns, and it was as underwhelming as everyone else described. I thought Spacey was gold, though, even if he didn't fit the image of Luthor presented in comics and the DCAU. I can buy him as the same Luthor seen in the earlier Superman movies, though.

I like Spacey, haven't seen Returns though. I've never really liked the Christopher Reeves / Smallville approach to Superman, it always seemed too girly for me. I prefer the George Reeves, Alex Ross, DCAU Superman.

I submit that Superman Returns are not great movies - but they're both some crazy director turning a superhero flick into a slow melancholy art movie. And it's kinda awesome they got away with it, in a weird way.

But yeah, Superman probably needs to fight something in the next one.

Well apparently Adam Brody (OC) has been cast as Wally West, along with Scott Porter (Friday Night Lights) as a potential candidate for Superman.

Who could be playing Talia al Ghul? Some chick named Teresa Palmer.

    And Common. As Common.

As usual, nothing official, but since these names have been thrown around a lot, I think it's pretty safe to say this could be it.

REALLY, my interest is peaked a bit then.
SHH!: What one thing do you think distinguishes your take on the Punisher compared to the last Punisher movie that fans of the comic will truly appreciate?
Alexander: The last "Punisher" movie really wasn't relevant to us. There is a lot of comparison to it but not any of the people on my team ever looked to that and said, "how can it either be different or better." We just kind of made our own film. The one thing I concentrated on is to really make it as close to the MAX series as possible. I think we really achieved it in terms of the look, as well as the tone. When I look at the dailies that I am getting, seriously, I think I am looking at a MAX comic book right in front of me. It's the same color tones; it's the same tone.

SHH!: Will this be a hard R "Punisher," and, if so, what sort of guidelines has the studios established regarding as to how violent the means can be?
Alexander: It will definitely be a hard R. Luckily, Lionsgate has been great about it. They haven't given me any guidelines in terms of violence. I really like violent movies.

They could still screw it up, but I'm liking what I'm hearing here.

It must be awkward for Common, not only is he the token black guy in the cast, but at 35 dude is also the oldest.

Justice League is going to be a grade-A disaster. The fact that a movie with this much potential is being populated with teen actors and models and helmed apparently by morons who only care about churning this out ASAP for a quick buck is just upsetting.

Well the Vietnam war was 1965-1975 thereabouts, so lets give him the benefit of the doubt and say Castle was in his early 20's at the end of the war, so he'd be in his late 50's approaching his 60's.

Personally I like movies about the old soldier types, in fact I'm looking forward to this new Rambo movie. I mean First Blood was fantastic and I think they are trying to take it back to that without all the crap that came from those follow-up Rambo movies.

God I want Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk(Booster and Beetle, respectively) to play them somehow.

Know who I'd like for Booster/Beetle?

Sam Rockwell as Booster, though he may need to buff up a bit, and Mark Ruffalo for Beetle, who may need to slim up a bit if the cast called for a more acrobatic Len Wein/Steve Ditko Beetle. Rockwell can pull off that kind of abrasive, I'm-totally-overcompensating charisma, and he's definitely got the look for it when he's clean shaven and tidied up a bit. Ruffalo has that nerdy, making-jokes-under-his-breath, mildly neurotic air about him that'd suit Beetle perfectly.

The only problem is that they're both middle-aged, though I think a movie about an over-the-hill, out of shape Blue Beetle teaming up with a past-his-prime Booster Gold could be pretty hilarious and compelling. It's moot since it has zero chance of ever being made and all, but I can dream.

Smallville isn't meant for comic fans any more than Mel Gibson's The Patriot is meant for history buffs, or for that matter the British. Knowing the characters makes it less likely that you'll enjoy the program.

That being said, Chloe comes from the mold of the smart, resourceful, sexually attractive, and somewhat overlooked (and therefore accessible) girl that seems to produce every girl a nerdy boy has ever dreamt of.
