two space flight trading mmos

coming soon.

a couple of weeks ago or so, I ran into two mmos that features twitch based controls where mouse controls but having the option to use a joystick as well, and descent graphics.

unlike EVE online which is basically a clicking, dice rolling rpg game set in space which I have no problem with since it's a different game.

here are the two known discovered type of game that I want to point out.

1. Infinity Quest for Earth

features seamless planetary flight as if you were to fly into a planet's atmosphere from space or the opposite way around without getting a loading screen. the combat prototype is available to download and test with other people over the internet at the developer's desired time. however the client does not feature the seamless fight. it also has lots of things you can do in the full game. you might need a fast gaming rig to run this game. even the prototype.

2. Jumpgate Evolution

the official website does not explain the information on what the game is all about. except that it has a beta sign up if anyone is interested in what the game is about. plus it's supposed to be a game that will replace the old version of this game. more screenshots released by the devs are scattered all over the net. and yes the devs gave the fan site owners permission to host them.

    so here it is.

    "Will I need a powerful system to play ?

    Definitely yes. Although the engine is designed to be scalable, it is likely that I will not have the time to optimize for older systems until late into the development. So a powerful configuration is highly recommended at the moment."

    The ships are what...500 polygons? How can this game be resource intensive, even without optimizations?

    Maybe I define "powerful system" differently than the developer...
