People who arn't going with any friends (Or want to adopt a friend into their group)

Hey I looked around and didn't see anything like this except scattered in other threads so I thought it would be a good idea for people that don't wanna be loners all weekend come here and meet up with someone who shares some interests with you! Or you could adopt a friendless person into your group of friends if you wanna be nice or just hate the rest of your group. Anyway I for one am in need of some friends. Will you be my friend?

Hmm. Depends. Do you have a resume I can review with my peers?

When are you coming to Seattle? You might want to check out the Canadian Supertrip.

I joined in on the Cross Country Supertrip and immediately met a handful of people. Before that I was flying solo.

It'd be cool to see some groups form in here, too.

Actually I'm getting my parents to drive me down, I'm pretty close to Vancouver and so its not much of a drive. I just don't really want to buy a DS just yet as I want to save my money to blow at the convention itself so I won't have anything to do in lines but stare off into space or *gasp* read a book so I was hoping I could meet some people I could hang out with.
Edit: does anyone know if I could buy a DS at the convention and if I did would be be super over priced or anything?

Thats a great question... Will there be DS' at PAX to buy that are on special/discount/buyonegetonefree etc. Will it be overpriced etc?

I need a friend too... PAX is spearheading my trip through the states, sadly its just me.8-)

I get there hopefully on Thursday 23rd, mid-afternoon I think.

I've rarely seen a DS not priced at the same national costs unless it was used.

Bloody, I will be your friend for the pre-pax dinner, Friday, then some of Saturday. Then your welcome to join me and my hillbilly buddies who are coming up from utah. Are you going to be on the Victoria-Anacortes ferry?

It's plenty easy to make friends at the con. Just start talking to somebody, or pull out a DS. These are instant ice-breakers at PAX. Thankfully most people there have common interests. Then there are the people that just show up to play the CS tourney and leave.

That's my plan too. To atleast get acquainted with some people at the pre-pax dinner. Other than that, i'll see how it goes. If i make new gamer friends, that would be awesome. If not, i'm quite ok on my own too.

But eating alone is not fun...

Nearly impossible, unless you make an effort to be alone.

I'm rolling solo to PAX. Friends couldn't afford it this year. I'm open to meeting anyone and I'm staying in a suite at the Crowne, so theres a bit of space.

I'll be your friend! I'm always up for meeting new people, and I made some great friends last year doing the same thing you are :)

Also a great way to get to know people is to chat in the PAX IRC channel. The gang in there is great, I love them so! <3

I live here in Tacoma and will be driving up each day of the convention. (20 min drive) I'm BYOC registered and I hope to enter the WoW tournament.
If anyone is looking for crash space for the con, shoot me an email. You must be over 18, and you must be clean. If your a WoW'er Bonus. I can't offer a bed or couch, but I have plenty of crash space, an open 14Mbs Lan, Xbox, and nothing better to do.
This is the first Con that I have attended in Seattle, so I also will be looking for friends to hook up with at the convention. As I live here in the area, if anyone needs anything just let me know.

Coooool lots of frieeeeends. Does everyone want to maybe meet at a certain place? Or hold spots in line for one another? Speaking of lines what time do people usually start lining up?

This thread makes me laugh. If you talk to people, they will talk back. There are no loners (except for those who choose to be) at PAX. At first, I thought this guy was kidding, but now I see why he made this thread:

He just wants a good place in line without having to come earlier. For shame.

Im pretty sure we will have enforcers keeping peace in the line again this year, and laying the smackdown to people who cut :x

Please don't cut in line Its lame for those who wait there only to have some ass cut in front of them. If you see anybody cutting, yell at them to get to the back.

I honestly wasn't using this to try and get in line. I've never been to PAX and I'm usually pretty shy in person and I thought it would be kinda weird coming up to some people and asking if I could hang out with them all convention...
Edit: I wrote the line comment because I don't mind standing in line for a few hours if I have someone to talk to but like I said I'm pretty shy in person and I don't have a DS or any friends coming with me.
Edit 2: I'm really really not one of those kind of people you think I am! Please don't hate me! I never even steal spots in line for lunch at my high school!
Ugh... and what I wrote looking back does seem really suspicious...

    In that case...
I apologize if my post seemed mean :P I just personally hate people who cut.

But it still stands that if you see somebody doing that, ask them to go to the back rather than cutting in line. If they refused, look for an enforcer or one of the WSCTC staff and bring the issue to them.

    I want friends too :(

Lol All my friends are jerks and crapped out on going to the awesomeness of PAX, so I must make new friends and leave the old behind.....or maybe just make new friends not sure yet.

Thanks for understanding, I hate people that cut too thats why I had to make sure everyone realized thats not at all what I wanted.
