Americans Have the Best Soda/Pop/Whatever You Call It

I blogged about it earlier tonight but it needs to be asked in a more conversational format: what is with Americans and the great pop they get? On a trip to Montana I discovered the divine non-alcoholic libation that is Coca-Cola Cherry Zero. I mean, seriously, how do you Americans tolerate such a magnificent bounty of bubbly awesometasticness? I'm heady at the very thought of being able to truck down to the local 7-11 for some Taquitos and a bottle of this. Hell, its all I would do if I could. Every day. All day. Back and forth.

Don't even get me started on the Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper. You lucky sons of a bitches.

    Anything Zero sucks compared to the real ones.

    Coke Zero? Sucks.

    Vault Zero? Not too bad. Almost an oxymoron though.

    Coke Zero just has a really bad aftertaste, but tastes good upfront. Diet Coke is the other way around.

    Actually Diet Coke has a whole different recipe than Coke Zero. They taste pretty different.

    Zero is so much better than diet. But I get the notion that the alternative sweetener they use is only tasty to certain individuals. I won't touch Diet Coke if Zero is around.

    I dabbled in Diet Coke Plus while I was stateside as well. That shit was weird.

    I will have to verify this. Because I haven't tasted a diet drink that didn't taste like ass. Usually I'd rather drink tap water than a diet soda.

    American pop actually kinda sucks. They cheap out and make it with corn syrup, Canada uses sugar, and it tastes oh so much better.

    You are so full of shit. The only place that doesn't use high fructose corn syrup is parts of Mexico and Latin America.
