I don't buy them because you bastards didn't buy Firestorm or Ant-Man. There, see how you like it!
Hey, I buy Ant-Man. And Tranquility was awesome this month.
Blood's End, Tranquility is pretty much Eureka, but instead of mad scientists everyone is a comic book archetype, or a descendant of one. The first arc was great, but now Simone is detailing the backstory of a bunch of characters and introducing new ones. Plus, there are zombies in this arc, and the Devil, and a guy who's like "The Man With No Name" that's got a grudge to settle with the devil. Good times. :^:
After seeing Comic Con this year, I have gotten really excited about comics. I used to get them back in the day (like gradeschool) and just admire the art. Now I just got done reading Spider-Man's Civil War collection and am really pumped.
So, I put Ultimate Spider-man vol. 1 & 2, Marvel Zombies (if there is a whole set of them together), and The Walking Dead vol. 1 on my list. I went into the comic shop and came out with:
-Marvel Zombies (issue 1)
-Marvel Zombies vs Army of Darkness
-The Walking Dead vol. 1
-The death of Captain America: Spider-man
-Huge Shaun of the Dead figure that I have been eyeing for awhile now
I still want to start with Ultimate Spider-man. They had vol. 5 & 8, but I want to start from the beginning. Thanks for listening to my rant. 8-)
Man, the DC Nation column is useless if random staff members keep showing up to churn one out. "Hey, Dan DiDio's late with his column again for the 40th time, so I decided I'd grab his computer and then just make it up as I go along! No real subject here."
I noticed few of you were picking up Metal Men. I feel I should point out that you're all bad people because of this. I was skeptical at first since I disliked Rouleau's art on Blue Beetle, but he knocked it out of the park here. My eyes glazed over at times due to the science jargon, but overall it was a wonderfully written and illustrated superscience romp, and I can't wait to see where the series goes.
Morrison has stated in the past that he has numerous black notebooks filled with pages upon pages of sketches, plotlines, and pitches for character revamps, so I wouldn't be surprised to see more new books inspired by him in the coming years. I know he's recently mentioned that he has a very fleshed out idea of what he'd do for an Earth-10 book.

That and Welcome to Tranquility. Screw you guys. Seriously. :P
Yeah, plenty of people do.
Some of us enjoy it too.

I never read the books.
I don't care much for towers, especially those that are not well lit.

I read the first couple of issues of WtT and then realized I was just reading Eureka, the comic series. And it didn't have enough mad scientists.

Superman is pretty bad at punching magicians.

How many titles are, "based on ideas by Grant Morrison" now? All-New Atom, Metal Men & Freedom Fighters?
Just those three I think.

Same reason I am not picking up Sinestro Wars.
Still think it looks rad, though.
Ignore them. They're just the codes that retailers use to order the issue.
