I know that its all games of this type but why cant people learn a LITTLE teamwork instead of thinking they are rambo with infinite health or something. Especially when the other team is using teamwork and hitting bases with a coordinated assault while your team is off doing who the fuck knows by themselves. It just pisses me off, that if they would actually play strategically they'd do a lot better.

Lost count of the amount of times I've been run over by a jeep as I've tried to get on the back gun haha.
Getting teamkilled by being run over pisses me off more than anything. Half the time it's just some dickwad riding around as fast as he can just because. Is it really that fucking hard to ask that you slow the fuck down for someone on your team? I mean, seriously what the hell. I don't think I've ever ran someone over. I don't mind getting killed in the heat of battle or something. That's cool. I can deal with that. But when no one's around and you just hit me with a jeep because your ass can't turn, that's when I get mad.

Anyway, I was like 1 kill and 6 deaths, and I was eating a snack at the time, so I decided to stay back and defend the base. It was in the broken down city level. I was on the 2nd level overlooking the flag, and someone just walks up to me and knifes me. My teammate just fucking knifed me.
Today I did about 3 rather bad games, but then I made up for it with a 17 kill, 3 death game for my last one. I got a bunch of medals (CTF defense, presidential something or other, etc etc.) That rocked.
Yeah I had a zones game the other day where my team had just taken the central base. One guy runs in hops in a tank by the flag and starts team killing 3 of us before some one flamethrowered him. Enemy team then comes and steam rolls the rest of the map. Did about the only thing I could blocked him and started a shoot on sight list for him.
We should totaly get a game on wednesday night.
Also has anyone else noticed a disturbing trend of people comminting suicide rather than alowing some one to get a kill on them?

I'm on Wednesday after like 10 Eastern time.
I haven't noticed that trend really. I, personally only hit that suicide button accidentally... They really need to move the suicide button away from the freaking quit button. I've accidentally committed suicide many times when trying to quit... I have suicided on purpose a few times (maybe 5 total), when I'd spawn and have a tank or warhawk right on me and I had literally nothing to defend myself with. If I'm near the edge of the map I may just take the honorable plunge . As I said, though, that's very few times.
My games have been getting slowly better. I had a game a few nights ago where I was 29 kills and 4 deaths, with a flag capture and everything. Man, when you do one of those games you really feel like rambo.
Sometimes I feel the game hates me though. Pretty much every game I join I'm put on the losing team. On the off chance that I SOMEHOW get put on the winning team I'm 100% (seriously, ONE HUNDRED PERCENT) guaranteed to get switched to the losing team after that first game. I kid you not. It's really aggrivating. My KDR is nearly 2, but my loss to win ratio is also nearly 2.
Well I tend to spend alot of time on dogfight maps. So it's a bit easier for some one to go into a dive with afterburners going into the ground. Starting to wish it wasn't so damn fun with all the rampant kill stealing and suiciding. Now if only I could figure out why some times when I crash into another plane I get a kill, and some times they get a suicide.
Im slowly getting better at it too. I feel pretty savvy with all the vehicles in the game and I slay in Warhawk dogfights .
I remember playing a zones game on Eucindia (spelling :P) and I hopped into a tank, and then a team member hopped in the hatch. For the whole freakn game we were like that! We had to change tanks every now and again when it was too messed up, but neither of us died a single time and we both racked up killer team and combat scores
That was probably one of the funnest games I've had so far. None of us had voice chat either, just... an unspoken bond
I play nothing but CTF. Zones was really fun when I played it, but I'm just addicted to the CTF in the game right now.
I had a really awesome game yesterday: 31 kills, 4 deaths. ALL of my kills were from the Land Mine. It was in the badlands and I have an awesome strategy of putting one mine right behind the flag on the wall, one in the middle of the part where the flag is, and one on each side of the front entrance to there. I went the entire game going back and forth refilling what mine they died on and the mine spawn. They just kept coming down landing their warhawks right on the freaking mines. They literally never learned. I also had a few foot kills, but just to keep my awesome streak up, I killed them with land mines too. Someone would try and come kill me, but I'd back up and throw mines until they ran into one. It was just so comical
You see that's why I always use a cluster bomb on ctf before landing trying and clean that stuff up some. Should realy start doing that on zones, cant count how many times I've landed on a mine in a zones map.
Should also try throwing some mines on regular jeep/tank routes since flag carriers cant take it in a warhawk.
Played this today on a friends ps3 so thinking of picking it up but need a couple of questions answered if someone would be so kind.
There's two of us at my house so would like to play online matches using splitscreen. Is this possible while still entering ranked matches and can you both use your own handles?
It looked to be like I could only splitscreen under the samename and without any of the ranking options.

Yeah, as of right now you can't join any ranked game with splitscreen, and you'll both have the same username. I hope at some point in the future they change this, and I REALLY hope they give an option to change the splitscreen to a vertical split, as right now it's nearly unplayable with a horizontal split on my 19" SDTV.
Thanks for the reply, just checked out the Warhawk FAQ's on their site and they said they took out ranked splitscreen to stop people cheating by using them as scouts.

I'm probably saying it wrong. I mean the line was vertical, but the two screens are placed horizontally (i.e. side by side), which does NOT work on a non-widescreen TV AT ALL. There's no peripheral vision, and it's my only real complaint with the game. I have a 2nd controller to play with my girlfriend or friends when they come over, but no one wants to play like that because, as I said before, you just can't see anything at all. I also wish they'd reinstate the ranked spltscreen. I never really thought of that problem of using the 2nd screen as a scout... sucks that cheaters have to ruin it for the rest of us.

Personally I don't think it's likely there would be many people using characters as scouts but I guess it must have been enough for them to change it. As you said, sucks that cheaters ruin it for everyone but hey they normally do

I know what you mean. I've been kinda spoiled on the 360 front in that the average lifespan of multiplayer on 360 titles is about 2 weeks ... aside from blockbusters like Halo3 and Gears of course.
Ever since the v1.1 patch came out on the 1st of November a great deal of the ranked servers are packed out. Still lots of life in it yet I still play it regularly

I would say that really really depends. If you don't do randoms? Yup. But you can still go back to Perfect Dark, or Table Tennis, or a lot of the earlier games and still find a decent amount of people playing. And again, the amount of games with multiplayer are a bit bigger with the 360 than they are with the PS3, so people do move around a bit more.
That being said, I have the game now. So I'm looking forward to playing with people from around here soon enough.

Hmmm, seem to be having trouble pairing my bluetooth headset. It's fully charged. Made sure it was off, held the button for five seconds til a solid light came on, then it started flashing at me. At that point I told the PS3 to search for it, and now it says scanning, and the headset is blinking and um... nothing. Any suffestions?

Let me know what you think of it Aoi. Warhawk is a title i've been pumped about since it released, I can't to get my hands on it on Thursday.
The game is great so long as you stay the fuck away from dogfight only deathmatches. Then it just gets way too goddamned stupid to be bearable. I swear the game freaking hates me, or I just suck that goddamned much at dogfights. I hit someone dead on with 5 missiles and they don't die. I get hit with like 3? Dead. Guy goes through a mountain tunnel thinger, my missile won't even get close to following him. Me? Well, I just went through 4 of those tunnels at high speed, hugging the landscape like a pro. What happens? I die, horribly, after getting hit by those 3 missiles. And this stuff only even happens if you manage to spawn and actually get somewhere before being locked on and obliterated before even thinking about getting to more missiles.
Well I'll tell ya one god damned thing about the dogfights, bam. It's like playing Crimson Skies to the letter. Man, if someone told me there were some old FASA people on the team, it wouldn't surprise me in the least.
I'm having mixed feelings about it to be honest. The thing about no one talking, no one sticking together, etc, is really true. There were moments when things really clicked that I was having a lof of fun, other times my team mates were kind of annoying me. The damned headset that came with the game doesn't want to sit right for anything either, always feels like it's pushing away from my face.
I like the game though, it's loose and fast and fun, it's just a touch frustrating in places.
I don't use voice chat when I play. Hell, I wish there was a way to turn it off because its pretty damn distracting hearing garbled voices through my stereo!
I'm a team player, dont get me wrong. But I don't think alot of teamwork orientated stuff in this game really needs verbal communication. A point of a tank turrent, honk of a jeep horn, hopping and shooting in the desired direction gets most peoples attention if they're willing to team up. Best things to organise are tank convoys
And yeah, stay away from deathmatches and specifically dogfight deathmatches. Pretty damn frantic and not alot of fun if you're not damn competent in a warhawk.

I bought Warhawk with my PS3 a few weeks back but have put it off since I've heard a lot of complaints about how some pricks would cheat or just be complete dicks. Now that the patch is out and this threads been revived, I'm pretty keen to play it. My PSN ID is LiquidSolid.

Been killed too many times by annoying bloody land mines haha. Pays to be cautious.
